Had dinner here. Great atmosphere. The food was very good. I had the deep-fried poblanos stuffed with fajita chicken (upcharge), and it was very good. Lots of cheese; lots! My wife had the tortilla soup. She thought it was on par with other places we’ve been but not any better or worse. My son had a giant burrito. He thought it was good. They had a live mariachi band playing requests at each table. They played Hallelujah, Sweet Home Alabama, Have You Seen the Rain, and a wide range of popular songs. They were good. The waiter we had was fun and efficient. It was our first time there, but it won’t be our last.

The past several times I’ve ordered from or visited this location, it has been a miss. Today we decided to dine in, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The service felt rushed and rude, and the food was not appetizing at all.

We ended up needing to place to-go orders, which were incorrect, and on top of that we were charged extra for them. There was an additional “to-go” fee added on top of what we already paid for the meals, which is absolutely ridiculous.

We were given dry tacos with no sauce, so we asked for green salsa—only to find an additional charge for salsa on our receipt. Who eats tacos without some type of salsa? Why doesn’t it already come with the meal, and why are customers being charged extra for it?

I have a lot of questions, but overall this location feels completely different than it used to. I’ve lived in Cedartown for six years, and the quality of both the food and service here has significantly declined. It honestly seems like this location may be under new management.

I usually make a point to support local businesses, but unfortunately I will not be supporting this one again.

Do better

We took a group of 10 people..After half of our group arrived, we were seated. Service was quick after being seated. The food was great. It was very noisy in the restaurant but it was very busy when we were there. We will definitely go back later.

Authentic Flavor Fiesta
The experience at the border takes you on a flavorful delight into the authentic tastes of the west and ole Mexico. Prepared to perfection with instinctual presentation that will have your senses dancing with the wonderful mariachi music that is missing in other restaurants offering Mexican cuisine. Thank you, The Border for your dedication to excellence in your industry and remaining true to the ancestors that passed down these awesome authentic recipes from south of “The Border”.

After spending 70 dollars on 3 plates togo food was cold and one plate even wrong. Staff was arguementative to say i was wrong about the order and had to create a scene just to get refunded just the one incorrect meal. Wish i could rste this lower than 1 star. IF YOU WANT TO EAT AT A PLACE. WHERE YOUR WRONG AND YOUR GONNA PAY EXTRA FOR IT EAT HERE!!!

Do not reccommend. Bad management. After messing up our order for chile verde and giving us chile colorado, we tried to bring it to their attention kindly and instead of replacing it with what we actually ordered they said “it tastes fine, there is nothing wrong with it” so rudely. Your money is better spent at Taco Bell which is what we ended up eating.

We’ve been eating here, literally, from the first day they opened the doors. We’re always treated like family. Food is always good and the restaurant is immaculately clean.

Amazing service, DELICIOUS food that they give you plenty of. FYI, if you order a quesadilla or a tostada, ask for extra cheese. Everything was fantastic. Good prices!! Great anniversary lunch!!

Having ordered Chili Verde to go we received something with a heavy RED sauce, called. We were told we would have to bring it back so they could see it. Having taken it back, manager says sometimes they cook it too long there is nothing wrong with it, try it. What? What does Verde mean? Anybody?
Taco Bell turned out to be a step up from this poorly managed the Border Mexican Restaurant.
