Yes, we are a Bookstore! Yes, we are a Bar! Welcome to The Bookstore! All the books on the shelves are for sale, except the ones behind the bar (those are our private collection). From the high-end cocktails to the PBR, and from Vonnegut to Twain, we aim to satisfy all of the curiosities. A little classy, and a little trashy is one way to describe our vibe. Overall, just a good neighborhood pub to come grab a drink, grab a book, talk shop, meet friends you never knew before, or bring your bookclub. Not all who wander are lost… so, come wander inside and take a look around. Stay for a drink, a snack, some darts, or a good read. We are happy to have you!

I had my birthday party here the other day! Melissa was SO helpful and so kind with getting everything set up. The day of, her and the other bartender were so fun, friendly and nice! They were super accommodating with everything and we had a cozy spot in the back. They let us connect a kareoke machine and play our own music, we were able to bring a birthday cake, they kept track of the minimum and made SUCH good drinks!!! I love all the books scattered all over and the jukebox!!!! An added bonus. There was so much seating, the snacks were great. Really had such a fun time here, and I’m so glad I chose this spot to have my birthday party 🙂

I hosted my book club at The Bookstore. We had a reserved section for us for a 2 hour time slot, but we ended up staying for almost 4 hours. The drinks were delicious! And Mel was great at adjusting and creating custom orders to help beat the winter chill! The food was really good too with a nice variety of pastries and bar snacks. Not to mention the books available for purchase spanned so many different genres. I will definitely be back!

I went here for a birthday and had a great time. The space was filled with books and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and fun without feeling overdone. Shout out to Mel and Grace for their excellent customer service. They were friendly, attentive, and made the night even better. The drinks were very well made, and it’s an ideal spot to grab a drink with friends or celebrate an occasion. Also loved the jukebox! Definitely recommend checking it out.

Stopped into the new bookstore in Patchogue last night. Had an expresso martini that was made perfectly. The bar area is decorated with some books that had an interesting vibe. I couldn’t help myself to thumb through a book that was by the window. They played great music and not too loud so we were able to still carry on our conversation. This place certainly has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Was lucking enough me meet a few of the owners to wish them luck in their new adventures ahead. I will definitely be visiting again soon.
