I would totally classify this restaurant as a hidden little gem. We ate lunch here three separate times while visiting for five days. The flavors were just so unique and tasty. They really give your average lunch destination a solid run for their money. Highly recommended!

This place has some very delicious food! I do highly recommend that if you are in the area give it a try. Everything that we ordered was amazing except for the gumbo and it was not horrible just kind of ehh. The cakes were delicious as well, they sell by the slice and next door yiu can order a whole cake. I don’t think yiu will be disappointed in anything!

I’ve enjoyed this place each time I’ve visited. It’s always better when they have a live performance of course. Not just the cakes are delicious the food is as well. I’ve been here more times than I can count!

This is my most favorite place restaurant to eat . I love the atmosphere and character of this place. The food has always been awesome! The service has always been amazing. We have our favorite waitress, Hayley, who we’ve been lucky to get each time we go. Her personality is a delight and she has great people skills. We’re went on my birthday and I feel she really went out of her way to make it awesome.
Did I say the food is AMAZING?
I will recommend this place to anyone.
Thanks Haley!
I had a great birthday!

Stopped in at The Boll Weevil Café & Sweetery and had a great experience. I started with a cup of their house favorite Tomato Apple soup (fire-roasted Fuji apples and carrots in a tomato base). While it wasn’t quite creamy as described, the flavor was still excellent, especially with the fresh grind of black pepper and sea salt. The K-Rock Italian Club on a very fresh ciabatta roll was delicious, and the pasta salad made a perfect side. Karmun’s service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and really added to the meal. The only small drawback was that my plate was a little warped and wobbly, but it didn’t take away from the overall great experience.

I had the day to explore Augusta and needed to eat. The Boll Weevil Cafe just happened to be where I started my Augusta explorations. It’s all in assuming exterior, and I frankly didn’t get past the bar near the entrance, but I could tell sitting at the tables would have been the same. The atmosphere is what I would call reclaimed factory, with lots of plants and found furniture sprucing up an old industrial setting.
The service is quick and kind. The girl at the bar provided the best recommendations of the cinnamon rolls and the Monte Cristo, both delicious, if not way too much for one person. And the live music was spot on for a comfortable Sunday brunch.
There’s plenty of other places to eat in Augusta, but you have to at least try the cinnamon rolls here. Two lasted me the week!

After reading the reviews we had to visit. I had the chicken salad. We’re from England and the chicken was shredded and in some kind of sauce, almost like a coronation chicken, not what I expected but nice enough. Service was rushed, I felt like this lunchtime the waiter was just trying to serve as many people as he could. As he cleared our plates he told us he was bringing the bill. Not quite the leisurely experience we are used to but glad we visited non the less.

I must have gotten this place on a bad night when the regular cook was off and they were short servers. The cakes are amazing but I will never eat at the restaurant again except to pick up cake.. I got an appetizer (spinach dip and chips), a coffee and a jerk chicken sandwich with chips. My coffee tasted like motel room coffee and I got it with my food, not before- not sure why. The jerk chicken sandwich was served colld, not sure why. The bun was cool- i have never had it like that anywhere. My entire meal cost the same as myself and 2 other family members at another restaurant put together the next day as I was coming in for 3 days of a show. I was just so disappointed. I just won’t be back. They were understaffed as everyone is so our service was mediocre. I don’t know if I got them on a bad night but I don’t want to take a chance to go back. I only liked the atmosphere.

Today Sunday March 8th 2026 my family and I had an Amazing experience. Another trip to a little hidden gem called The Boll Weevil Cafe and Sweetery. Excited to try something different this time. You would have thought we were feeding an army. We were just a very hungry crew with a menu that we felt we needed to dive completely in, all or nothing. Starting with an appetizer of perfectly Fried green tomatoes with balsamic drizzle into our main dishes/soups/salads/chilie and cheesy grits (for the baby) ending with multiple slices of delicious cakes, all while listening to the live music. Needless to say we left completely full and satisfied. All of this wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing assistance and encouragement of Jeremy. He helped in our decision making, kept us refilled with beverages, checked in on us throughout our meal and helped with Togo items. Jeremy knew our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, yet he cheered us on. From a very clean environment friendly staff and delicious options, we can’t wait til our next visit.
