If you haven’t visit them, go do it today!
We started off with: Chai me and a bottle of Hello World. I love creamy/bright cocktails and the Chai me was exactly that. It was refreshing and had a lovely creamy, earthy-yet-bright flavor. My partner loved his wine! Light yet rich, fruity and dry. I had an A-List right after. I am quite selective on espresso cocktails and this one hit all the marks for me! You get the full taste of the scotch and espresso as if you had them individually.
For our Seafood: We shared the Daily Cold Water Oysters. It came with all of the toppings you’d want on your oysters- they were all fresh on top of that. Solid oyster dish! The roasted lemon was a great way to level all of that up.
For our Shareables & Lighter Fare: We ordered Shroom with a view, Smoked Bone Marrow & Beef Tartare, Kung Pao Brussels and the last Filet Mignon of the night!
Shroom with a view was amazing. If you served this to me claiming there was meat on it I would’ve believed you. It was rich, dark and flavorful. The mushrooms really brought out all of the other components wonderfully.
The Bone Marrow Tartare was delicious. It was very well balanced with other components since the dish itself can be fatty (which we loved). You can add a splash of roasted lemon to add some acid if you like, or you could dip your bread. It was great.
The Kung Pao Brussels were everything I look for in brussels. I love Brussels with Asian flavors, so this was right up my alley. The Miso butter and Chili completely reintroduced the Brussels to me. It was one amazing side dish that I didn’t really want to share much of!
Last but not least the Filet was perfectly cooked. I love rare, red steak and I had exactly that. It was accompanied by some simple pickled ginger, salt, pepper and a wonderful Aioli. The wasabi was FRESH, it was the best I’ve had at a restaurant, it does not have that lingering ‘burn’ that many wasabis in the US can have. Like I said, I love Asian flavors so everything on the menu was calling to me. Every plate comes with its balancing component that you can have every which way. Also, this menu changes occasionally (I believe)!
We are definitely coming back, the flavors that live on this menu are unique and something that my partner and I usually want from places we go to. Thank you!
We were seated in the bar area at a high top , and the bartender—who was also our server—approached to take drink orders. I asked for water, and my friend was deciding between drinks. Before we could even finish the conversation, he walked away mid-sentence. From that point on, the service was consistently rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional.
We ordered our food: I got the tuna, and my friend ordered the Brussels sprouts. My meal arrived about 15 minutes later, but my friend’s food did not. After another 15 minutes, I asked if her dish was on the way. The server responded very snarkily, saying her dish “takes way longer,” which was confusing—especially since restaurants typically serve meals together.
At this point, my tuna had been sitting untouched for over 35 minutes because I was there to eat with my friend. Eventually, the hostess came over and explained that the kitchen had lost the ticket. She told us the food would be ready in about five minutes and said it would be comped, which we appreciated.
Even so, by the time we actually ate, my tuna had been sitting out for roughly 45 minutes, which is far from ideal. The food itself was decent, but nothing exceptional—especially considering the price. The tuna was $35 for four very small pieces, which felt extremely overpriced for the portion and overall experience.
Service never improved, and we were left feeling awkward and unsure about tipping due to the lack of basic customer service. After waiting nearly an hour for our meals, the check was brought without any real acknowledgment of how poorly the situation was handled. I was shocked they even presented a check.
If you’re looking for an enjoyable dinner experience, attentive service, or value for the price, I’d recommend spending your time and money elsewhere.
