We stopped by to visit Meadview and experience the small town – I highly recommend stopping by the BoatHouse. We got dinner and then breakfast the next morning. Prices were affordable and food portions were huge! They had a good variety of drinks from sodas to frappes. The breakfast burrito was massive and came with a phenomenal house-made salsa. If you are visiting in the area, I think it’s worth the detour to come stop by beautiful Meadview!

Tiny unexpected diamond in the rough. My husband and I stayed overnight in Meadview on our way to The Canyon. This is a place that surprises you. For being a middle of nowhere town, the food was delicious. Service was adequate, but food came out fast, was piping hot. Atmosphere was so cute. Really nice and expansive patio to sit out and enjoy the view of the Painted Desert. Highly recommend if you are passing through!

It was the most delicious breakfast I’ve ever tried in the United States. Every piece of food on this plate was amazing. I dream that they cook like that in New York too

We had an absolutely amazing experience here! The food was super fresh and delicious, the staff incredibly friendly, and the whole atmosphere just perfect – nice music, lovely decoration, and a very welcoming vibe. Honestly, if you’re traveling from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon, this place is a must stop. Everything was just wonderful – highly recommended!

Went for lunch on Sunday, had one waiter for the whole place, and he absolutely KILLED it. Was busy running around, and I was never out of drinks and the timing of everything was perfect. Will visit again when in the area! Food was good too and prices are reasonable for being so isolated

A Journey Back in Time – and a New Favorite Spot in Meadview!

I first passed through Meadview, Arizona, 42 years ago as an 18-year-old traveler from Germany. Back then, the town was just a quiet outpost with a single small burger joint—a stop along the way in my youthful adventure through the American Southwest. It was a place I never forgot, a little dot on the map that represented the vastness of the desert and the freedom of the open road.

Fast forward more than four decades, and I found myself back in Meadview, this time with my partner from Canada, revisiting the past while discovering something entirely new. What a surprise to see how much the town had grown, yet still held onto its small-town charm. And at the heart of this visit was our experience at this incredible little cafe and restaurant—a true hidden gem in the middle of the desert.

From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed like family. The atmosphere was warm, unique, and full of character, the kind of place where you can tell that every detail has been thoughtfully curated to create a memorable dining experience. Everything was impeccably clean and inviting, which immediately set the tone for what turned out to be one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in a long time.

I ordered the Mexican-style omelette with tortillas and hash browns, and let me tell you—it was simply amazing. Perfectly cooked eggs, rich and flavorful fillings, and hash browns that had just the right amount of crispiness. A meal that tasted homemade in the best possible way. Every bite was a reminder of why road trips are worth taking—because sometimes, you stumble upon places like this, where food is made with care and hospitality is second nature.

Our waitress was absolutely wonderful—kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. What truly stood out was how she went out of her way to make us (and our dogs!) feel welcome. Without hesitation, she brought out bacon and fresh water for our two pups, a small but incredibly thoughtful gesture that spoke volumes about the level of care they put into their service.

We left feeling full, happy, and so grateful that we had stopped in. This restaurant isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a place to experience. If you’re passing through Meadview, make sure you take the time to stop here. Whether you’re a local or a traveler like us, you’ll be welcomed with a smile, served an excellent meal, and leave knowing you’ve found something special.

I loved this little restaurant in this tiny town. It’s unique and fun. The staff is great and the food spot on. They have a dog menu and a great view sitting outside. I think it would help to identify the entrance more clearly for us visitors

We had a large group maybe 10‐ 12 people. Waitress REALLY knows the menu. Had no problem breaking the checks up (we let her know before ordering). Food was amazing & lots of it…to go containers were no problem!
These folks are SOOO nice! Ya gotta go!

Stopped here for breakfast. HIGHLY recommend the flat iron steak and egg skillet. DEFINITELY get it with a tortilla and salsa. It is a large portion so bring your appetite or a friend. Beautiful views from the dining room. Great atmosphere in a town with a great vibe.
