The wings were amazing. They smoke them and they were juicy and tender and crispy and wonderful. The tenderloin sandwich was good. The SusieQ’s were not our favorite, They could’ve used a few more minutes in the fryer.

Such a cute and quaint little restaurant! On our way from Arkansas to Nebraska, we decided to have ourselves a local dining experience, we stopped by the boat house! Got the fried mushrooms- nice sized, great batter! We couldn’t decide so we shared the catfish-great flavor, cooked perfectly, and delicious batter! Catfish came with hushpuppies which were tasty! The pork tenderloin-crispy, flavorful, great portion! The Susie Qs-fresh cut (in front of you!) spiral curly fries! The baked beans were yummy too!!

Definitely looking forward to going again and also going to the original location on the lake as we were told it’s even bigger!!

Had one of the best bacon cheeseburgers in a very long time. My boyfriend had the tenderloin sandwich. The Suzy Q’s were fresh. Every thing was fresh and hot. Great prices. Great atmosphere too. Our waitress Tony was so pleasant and very welcoming. We will definitely be back again and bringing more family with us. This really made for a great time.

The Boathouse Restaurant has THE BEST old-style fried chicken, which is actually hard to find these days! We were excited to try this fabled fried chicken, and loved the cozy, down-home atmosphere. The waitresses and staff were all friendly … and we didn’t even feel uncomfortable; not for even a second, when we walked in where the locals may ogle you and wonder who are “they.” In fact, there were other non-native diners which we struck up a small chitchat as we waited for this wonderful fried chicken to be delivered to the table. We had our 2 year old grandbaby with us who we had brought crayons and some paper or keep her patient while waiting, and many diners smiled at her or us. Very nice clientele and the chicken was to die for! We have already gone 3 times since we discovered this happy, yummy, food and kind employees . If you miss simple, good ol’ fried chicken, this is your place to go! They have many other favorites , and specials, so there will surely be something for everyone!

Great food over all. Burger and catfish was cooked/fried to order, not kept on a warmer. Slaw was not to wet or over seasoned, tartar sauce was good both taste like it’s made in house. Server made us feel like old friends from the moment she saw us. She was open, honest, and very friendly. It’s quite refreshing with COVID-19 scaring everyone.

The place is small with only 6 tables, but it’s clean and quaint. The day we were there was busy with hunters so the one server they had was bustling. They ran out of a couple of menu items but had enough variety for other options.

I had the fried chicken sandwich, and it was dee-licious! The atmosphere was nice and casual with friendly service. We were just passing through, and I highly suggest you stop in if you’re hungry because the portions are huge!

This is a very small restaurant with 6 tables. The waitress was friendly and the food was great. The fish was clean with good flavor, the chicken was freshly cooked and had good flavor. My smoked wings were hot and Smokey. I would recommend trying it if in the area. I will be back when visiting my daughter at college.
