We’ll the Panko Walleye was good. The accompanying salad gave me the “runs” the next morning. Sure couldn’t be the walleye that is fried at high temperature. Pulled pork sandwich was good.
The Boathouse needs to clean up. The available table was still wet and sticky. The floor was sticky. Flies and mosquitos inside. Outside entrance covered in fall leaves.

Had a work meeting here as I was passing through. First time in Winona (not last) and I wanted to go somewhere near the Mississippi and wanted some fish. I had baked Walleye and my colleagues had the fried fish. Absolutely delicious! The walleye was baked to perfection and the mashed potatoes and asparagus were perfect. Diffently a place I will be going again when I come back for other meetings that are scheduled. The bonus is that the view is absolutely amazing.

We were taking the Eagle Watch Cruise, and the restaurant was just about dockside. Great view of the river. We got to watch a river barge head upstream.
The fish (beer battered cod) and chips were pretty good with a generous portion. The fries were good and we ordered the aoli dip with them. The walleye tacos were good too.
We are in the sun deck. Passed bench seat. Large table

I stopped by here to eat at about 5:30pm on Jan 2, 2026. I grabbed a paper menu. I ordered the Blackened Walley which included two sides. The price on the menu, for this, was $26. I need a low carb diet; so for my one side, that option was the asparagus and onions. I could not find another low carb side so I asked the girl if I could double my first side. She said yes. I then went to pay by credit card. The small CC machine had 3 prices at the bottom for tips but gave no other details like what the %s were. I guessed that the one on the left must have been 15%. I tapped that one and was then asked if I wanted a receipt. I noticed they were using that thermal print paper which is not healthy for any person as the chemicals on it are an endocrine disruptor. I declined the receipt. A little later something inside me had me check my CC account. I knew my charges should be around $26 + tip of $5.32 + taxes…no more than $35ish for the Walley, I figured. I logged in and to my surprise my charge was $45.17. I went back and now requested the receipt. The same girl that took my order and CC is now helping me. She could not figure how to pull up my receipt so she had another lady show her how. I was now told by the girl that there was an upcharge of $4 for the asparagus, an upcharge of $3 for the second onions, and $2 more for the fish because the paper menu’s prices were not updated. I was NEVER informed up front on any of these prices. The girl said I must not have heard her. I think she might have said them in her mind but never verbalized them. I also said how can you charge two upcharges on the asparagus and onions when they are listed as one option? If they are separate options, then say that a person can select asparagus OR onions OR etc. The lady said the prices had just gone up that day to $28. I suggested next time they should hold a meeting at the beginning of the day and inform every one of the price increase. She then asked if $10 back would work. I said I can see the menu increase mistake, but $7 back for the asparagus and onion charge would work. I also said I think I actually only received a single side quantity as both sides looked like very small portions. Now about the food review: The asparagus was flavored perfectly…I loved it and wanted more. Most of the onions were overcooked and black. I only ate the thicker clear ones with a little bit of black and left the rest…they were ok. The blacked Walley had a great flavor and was cooked just right but…I like more salt than most people, but I think they could have cut the salt in half and it would have been just right. I do see on my receipt that the far-left tip is shown as 15%…I just wish their machine had shown that when I had paid. Also, don’t get me started about my Sister-in-laws’ well done ordered burger that came to her red inside.

Great little casual place in Winona for fantastic local food and food vibes!
Even on a dreary day it was great to sit outside and enjoy the view of the Mississippi River while we ate.
Order at the counter (discount for using cash) and grab a seat. Food was brought out piping hot. They do not skimp on fresh veggie toppings on the sandwiches and the fries were excellent I also enjoyed a basil lemonade

Great ambience, good food. Although short staffed, they were welcoming and attentive to ask if we needed anything. We ordered Walleye fish & chips, crispy chicken strips and tap beer. The food was fresh and crispy, however I feel that $22 for fish and chips was pricey. Will visit again to try other items on their menu.

Ate the tacos and they were very spicy. Apparently siracha aioli means very spicy. I would appreciate something in description about being spicy. The help was friendly and the restaurant had great atmosphere.

Ordering at the door before you find a seat is a different experience, not sure the benefit, but it was fine. Had the Friday Walleye fish fry and it was so tender, it was a little hard to handle & fell apart trying to get it in my mouth. It was delicious but a little spendy for a single fillet, fries and slaw. All in all, It was a fun night.

Was really satisfied with the quality of the food. The shrimp tacos had a good portion of shrimp and it was cooked to crispy perfection. My date got the battered cod fish and chips. The sauce was dill forward and very refreshing. I would definitely like to try more on the menu.
