We had the catfish dinner, country fried steak, and boar house fries. Everything was wonderful and the waitress (Brandy) was amazing. She took great care of us. If you want some great BBQ that is done right come in and treat your taste buds to this food.

This restaurant had great food. The Blooming Bologna was interesting. A big hunk of Bologna that had been smoked then deep fried. It was good. A member of our party had smoked chicken. It was a breast and very moist. A lot of time smoked chicken breast can be dry. I had BBQ salad. It was also very good. Atmosphere can best be described as casual. We were there on Sunday at noon. It was packed and the waitresses were swamped. That cut down on the service stars. All in all I highly recommend.

If you’re craving smoky, savory satisfaction, this BBQ spot delivers in spades. From the moment we walked in, the service was impressively fast—no long waits, just quick smiles and sizzling plates.
**Food Highlights**
– The brisket was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of bark.
– The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, not dry like some places tend to serve.
– The sausage had a nice snap and a smoky depth that rounded out the meat trio beautifully.
**Sauce Game**
The BBQ sauce deserves its own spotlight—rich, tangy, and perfectly balanced. It complemented every bite without overpowering the natural flavors of the meat.
Overall, this place nailed the essentials: excellent food, speedy service, and a sauce that could win awards. A must-visit for any BBQ lover looking for a satisfying, no-fuss feast.

We were so excited to stop at The Boar House & Pizza after a long day of driving. We were really craving some BBQ, and let me tell you, they totally nailed it! The waitresses were super friendly and really on the ball. The sliced brisket was so tender and juicy, and that homemade sauce was just divine. And those ribs? Oh my goodness, they were meaty and just melted in your mouth. The mustard-based potato salad had just the right amount of tanginess, and the fried okra was freshly battered and a delightful change from the usual sides. We loved the food so much that we made sure to come back when we were in the Quitman area and, you guessed it, the service and food were just as fantastic as before.
Before you head out, you’ve got to check out their selection of fresh desserts. Those cakes must be homemade because they are always the first to disappear, especially the coconut.

wo weeks ago was my first time eating at The Boar House & Pizza, and it definitely won’t be my last! I tried a pound of pulled pork, a pound of brisket, and a half rack of ribs with my cousin (who was in from Toledo, Ohio) — everything was absolutely delicious. The barbecue is the best I’ve had around Heber Springs! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
Be sure to check out their gift shop too — they have some great products and some of the best ice cream around. The Boar House & Pizza is definitely a spot you’ll want to visit if you’re looking for amazing food and friendly service.

Found this place on our way to our hotel. Online menu had a variety of food options so we decided to give this place a try. There is a half-moon pull-in into the parking lot (*basically if you miss the first entrance, just wait a few seconds and use the second one*). Parking wraps around the front and sides of the restaurant. Exterior is a white building while the interior reminded me of your typical bbq joint. Red and white checkered tablecloths and approximately 23 tables. Our waitress was nice and attentive. We ordered the Rib plate, Smoked Chicken plate, Hawaiian pizza, an order of Ranch Cheesey Bites, and a slice of strawberry cake. Everything arrived fast, hot, and delicious There is a dessert fridge to the right of the register full of homemade goodies. My son said the ribs were tender. My husband said the smoked chicken was flavorful, tender, and made it to his top 2 of best smoked chicken he’s ever had. My pizza was good, especially the crust. But my all time favorite would have to be the strawberry cake ❤️ One of the best strawberry cakes EVER! Definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ worthy!

Food was decent. However the brisket was dry and on the cold side. The potato salad I got on the side was pretty good though. The brisket had a good bark and good flavor. Fat cap was amazing as well and full of flavor. Maybe an off day based on other reviews I have seen. The customer service was awesome, we had our food in minutes and the whole time we were waiting we could smell the barbecue. I would definitely go back but would probably get something different.

My boyfriend and I came into town on a date while on my family vacation. The brisket was so tender and flavorful. The portions are generous. The price is great. The pulled pork and their homemade BBQ sauce was DELICIOUS as well. It’s a cute little place and the staff were kind. Definitely would recommend for families who need options; we got pizza, barbecue, and ice cream next door, all in one stop. We searched up “restaurants near me” on a whim without looking at reviews and my boyfriend said “I don’t think we could have found a better place for dinner if we tried!” Safe to say we will come back!!!
I will say, my maps didn’t take me directly to the restaurant. I’m glad we drove around a little bit before settling for Sonic.
