We had a nice dinner at the Blue Marlin. The manager and staff were so kind, friendly, attentive, and we had great conversation. The restaurant is small and cozy. The food was 10/10, everything we ordered was delicious- the coconut shrimp were huge and battered but not heavy at all, and came with a delicious piña colada sauce and fresh pineapple salsa. The calamari and shrimp bisque were also great! Everything was so reasonably priced and great quality. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

A wonderful hidden gem. The food was amazing. The ambience was superb. The wait staff was wonderful. The owner was present to inspect an offer suggestions. Highly recommend the drinks were amazing especially the Cadillac margaritas. We spend the month of April here each year and we will be returning before we leave this year.❤️

Excellent sea food and sides, highly recommend. Delicious, high quality food. Have been coming to Rocky Point since the 90s; why did it take me so long to find this place???

We love coming here for their seafood tower. Fresh seafood. Some of the best coconut shrimp Ive had on this trip. I especially love the raw clams.

I found this restaurant on Google Maps using seafood, location, and ratings. The Blue Marlin is centrally located in Malecon. From the pictures I was under the impression that it was somewhat bigger, but it can seat only twenty-some people, if that many.

I arrived at the restaurant around 8 p.m.—it stays open until 10 p.m. My first surprise was that there were no locals. I remember from my days in San Francisco that if you want a good Chinese food restaurant, look at who’s inside first. If you don’t see any Chinese, walk away. Nevertheless, based on the good reviews, I was determined to give it a try.

First bad news: on the seafood side they ran out of practically everything, and all that they had left was shrimp—which is something that I normally don’t eat, but I did not have a backup plan, so I ordered it.

The dish consisted of about 6 shrimps, a thimble of rice, and a bit of mixed salad, mainly head lettuce. The shrimp tasted okay, but nothing above that. The only thing above was, in a way, the price. They don’t have bathrooms inside the restaurant. If you need one, you need to go around the building. The toilet did not have a light—or at least I could not find the switch in the dark. There was a sink near the walkway that ran out of soap.

My advice: skip it.

Nice small atmosphere, cozy. My dish was disappointing but most of the rest of our party enjoyed theirs.

Absolutely wonderful dining experience! The host Homero was welcoming and accommodating and prepared our fresh caught grouper in five different ways. They all were excellent. The intimate atmosphere added to our enjoyment. The drinks were outstanding too. This is probably the best meal in Puerto Peñasco! Highly recommended

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My dining experience at Blue Marlin in Puerto Peñasco was absolutely outstanding! We indulged in the Carlos V shrimp, wrapped in bacon, and they were divine! Perfectly sized and bursting with delightful flavors, especially when paired with the pineapple glaze. The coconut shrimp was equally impressive, with a creamy sauce that complemented the dish beautifully. And let’s not forget about the chipotle shrimp, boasting a sensational BBQ chipotle sauce that struck the perfect balance of smoky and spicy flavors. Every bite was a culinary delight, and I can’t wait to return for my more exquisite seafood creations at Blue Marlin!

But what truly sets Blue Marlin apart is the exceptional service. From the owner’s heartfelt greeting of “welcome home” to the attentive waiter who ensured our comfort throughout the meal, every moment was infused with care and attention. When we realized tips were cash-only, the owner’s understanding and graciousness shone through. Despite our insistence on going to the ATM, they insisted on our comfort and even offered to let us tip next time.

Blue Marlin isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a place where you’re embraced with love and where exceptional service is the norm. Do yourself a favor and show this place some love; you’ll undoubtedly receive it back tenfold. Can’t wait to come home to Blue Marlin again soon!

This place had some of the best food I’ve had in a while. The chips and salsa were great but the magical garlic green sauce was dangerously addicting. I poured it on everything I ate. The staff was professional and the outdoor seating is nice. The food came out pretty quickly and everything had a nice artistic touch to it. I highly recommend The Blue Marlin for anyone in the area.

Absolutely love this place. Each time we come we are greeted with “welcome home” and it truly feels that way. From the delicious food, to the attentive staff, and the wonderful prices, this place checks all the boxes. The owner even personally comes to greet you when he’s there. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.
