Mind Set On Travel
Stopped in for an after dinner drink and may come back for dinner tomorrow. Love the atmosphere and level of sports on the TV’s. Could not imagine what it’s like on a hockey night.

The fried chicken sandwich was decent. The fries were delicious and the restaurant gave a sports bar vibe but with hockey decorations inside. It’s a good place to watch a sports event on TV. Although service was slow, the food was affordable since I went in during happy hour.

Such a cool bar. Great food. Very quick service. And if you’re a hockey fan every game you could ask for. Highly recommend. 1000% coming back next week. Tyler our server was great and helped us with food and drink orders very quickly.

Went Sunday for the Chiefs championship game, so inevitably it was packed. Nevertheless, we were able to scoop up a table for two right away with a good view of the game thanks to the many TVs. I’ve been here before and ordered the wings, which were surprisingly very good! This time, my girlfriend had the KC Blade BLT w/ waffle fries. She was initially worried about the 3 layers of Texas toast, but it looked amazing when she got it, and said it tasted even better and that she was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of all the food here, given the relaxed bar atmosphere. The waffle fries were crispy and hot and the chips and salsa were delicious as well. All in all, my two experiences so far have informed this well deserved 5 star review. Check this place out, you won’t regret it! Did I mention they have a large menu and are open late?!

Food was fine, decent for a bar. Really bad service. My second whiskey sprite was literally only sprite, it was completely clear. I was charged anyway. I also ordered a water and was given sprite instead of water? Very strange. When I said something about it they took it without saying a word and never brought me water, I had to go inside after ten minutes and get my own.
Edit in response to the owner: I don’t really know what you mean, there’s not much more to add. I agree that sprite and water are very different, that’s why it was such a strange experience. I ordered water, and was given sprite. Three people at the table tried it, all agreed it was sprite. Okay, mix ups happen, but then it was equally strange when I said something and someone just took the cup, stone faced, said nothing about it, and never came back with water. After waiting ten minutes I went in and asked again.
Separately, the first whiskey spite I ordered was much much darker in color and I could taste the whiskey. It tasted like a whiskey sprite. The second whiskey sprite was virtually clear and I couldn’t taste anything at all except for soda. I didn’t even drink it.

Great atmosphere. Good day with the breeze coming thru. Nice selection of beers. Had to try the poutine fries. U get a ton of em! Fries, gravy, and cheese curds. Soooo good!! 5 stars!

I used to visit the Blue Line on a weekly basis when I lived in the River Market area…I fell in love with the food & environment here!! Kansas City’s top hockey bar with amazing dishes and cold beer. I’ve tried almost every dish. Try out the Cheese Shots, Nachos, or Chips & Queso for an appetizer. Their tenders are massive & the buffalo wings are hot! The chimichanga and tacos are my top favorites…can’t go wrong with any dish here!
