We believe that incredible food brings people together. Voted BEST BAGELS IN CT! Our bagels are made entirely on-site, every day, using a meticulous three-day process. We start with the finest ingredients: unbromated unbleached flour, organic malt, mother dough, kosher salt, water, and a touch of fresh yeast. Our dedicated bakers mix the dough, which is then carefully formed by our state-of-the-art machinery. Each bagel, weighing between 4.5 – 5 oz, is steam baked in the wee hours of the morning, ensuring freshness. The final touch is a layer of liquid malt, giving each bagel its golden, chewy skin. Our small-batch steam baking process ensures that the inside remains airy and fluffy, creating a bagel that’s both substantial and delightful.

I decided to treat my wife and I to bagels for a late breakfast today and we took the trip out to visit The Blue House Bagel. It was our first time here. We will absolutely be back.
The toasted bagels were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Bagels and cream cheese were seasoned to perfection.
I cannot wait to return and try a new flavor.
I ordered an oat milk latte made with Giv coffee, roasted right across the street and wow—what a flavorful roast! The service was quick and efficient, and despite how busy it was, everything ran smoothly.
The bagels here are sourdough and made fresh in-house, and you can really taste the care that goes into them. I had The Pig Pen on an everything bagel with prosciutto, and it was the perfect balance of chewy and crispy. The bagel was soft inside, chewy outside, and the everything toppings stayed on—always a plus! The scrambled eggs were perfectly fluffy, and just delicious.
I also couldn’t resist grabbing a Maine blueberry muffin, and I’m so glad I did. The crumb topping was just the right amount of sweet without being overpowering. Absolutely perfect.
The space itself is charming—set inside an old house, it’s laid out really well, making ordering and seating flow seamlessly. It’s clearly a popular spot, with people gathering and meeting up over breakfast.
The only downside? Parking is tough. I ended up parking behind the shops and greenhouse area and walking around, which wasn’t a big deal, but something to keep in mind.
Overall, this place is a must-visit if you love great bagels, quality coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere! I’ll definitely be back.
