Driving by on New Year’s Day and it’s closed but looked around and I will definitely be back. Fun area with outdoor tables, lots of boat docking, fuel, and a boat launch. There’s also a small motel, The Inn at River’s Rest, with a outdoor pool.

It PAINS me to leave this review, because I’ve had great experiences here before. Honestly, the rating system doesn’t quite fit — if I could give multiple ratings, I would.
This was my third visit under the new ownership. The first two times? Amazing. Tonight, though, was a major disappointment. My husband, son, and I came by boat and were excited for dinner. We ordered a grilled cheese and fries for my son. The grilled cheese was fine, but the fries were cold and clearly old. I politely asked for fresh fries and then placed our entrée orders.
One full hour later, the “fresh” fries finally arrived — along with our entrées. The baked potato I was served was obviously leftover from Friday or Saturday, not fresh at all. After such a long wait, this was extremely disappointing.
I truly hope this was just an off night, because I know this place is capable of so much better.

Had the most wonderful time here. The service was fantastic. Kylea was attentive, kind and gave us great suggestions based on our preferences. The setting was beautiful and our food came out delish.
We ordered some shrimp steamers (temp and seasoning were both on point, appreciated a little celery salt) , the home-made pimento grilled cheese on yummy brioche and complete with home-made ranch dressing. Both pimento and ranch I could eat with the spoon. Flavorful and perfect consistency. Cherry cheesecake was also delicious. Great time for all.
If we are in the area again, we will definitely be back!

A hidden gem on the Chickamoniny River. Great views of the river and marina. Food was great, service was excellent. We had Flounder and Catfish, both were delicious. Menu is largely seafood with some steak and chicken options as well as sandwiches and salads. Good drink menu. Also has a separate pizza menu i want to come back and try.

Crab Cakes and Blackened Shrimp were outstanding. We ordered the Fried Pickles as an App and pleased with the portion size and coating. The Mac & Cheese side was the only disappointment… very plain and not very cheesy.

Arrive at this marina through an RV park. It is located directly on the Chickahomony River. The bar area is small. There is outside dining. Make a reservation. The shrimp cocktail was very good, the salads are ginormous. Stick with the seafood. Pretty good service, prices are average for the cuisine. Its not fancy, but casual.

I ordered steam shrimp. Think it was over cooked or boiled. Skin stuck to shrimps. Shrimp were tasty. Hushpuppies excellent. Slaw need some dill and other spices. That’s the 4 Stars.

On vacation and we ate here twice. First night was for my birthday. Food was so good! Loved the outdoor seating by the water. The view is amazing. They had music both nights. We played cornhole before and after dinner. Can’t say enough great things about the atmosphere. The first night we ordered from a menu. The second night we did have to scan the QR code to order. We didn’t have a problem. Don’t let that stop you from eating here!

The view from the patio is nice but it could use a good cleaning. The chairs were the absolute worst though, super uncomfortable. Food and drinks were very good. We had the Blue Heron cocktail, house white wine, fried pickles, Cajun pasta and the seafood platter. The hushpuppies were not good and very dry but everything else was great.
