The food here is decent, I’d say it lacks a bit of flavor, but if you like that you’ll do fine. I personally keep to the cocktails and oysters these days. The service though!? It’s stand out, I’ve always had the best experience, Thomas is hands down one of the best! If you’re in the area definitely stop in and have a bite.

Food was delicious and service was great. I had the grilled oysters and red snapper entree. The oysters were good but 2 of my 6 were burnt. The snapper was delicious but on the small side for the price.

This restaurant is always packed. So the enthusiasm for my first time was heightened. To my surprise, this place is mediocre. Service was horrible. 2 of the servers just placed our food on the table -then walked off. My salad looked beautiful, but tasted horrible. The shrimp was barely seasoned and the texture was rubbery. The best food item was the blue crab dip. No one liked their food. I don’t understand what all the hype is/was about b/c I was disappointed.

Nice scenery, good service, okay food. Located between West End Boulevard and the canal to the Orleans Marina. Has a nice view of the canal, the marina, & the back of the Southern Yacht Club. The is plenty of outdoor dining on ground level and the upper lever, covered and uncovered. There is an elevator available to the upper level. Our food was decent. I liked the potato salad. It was not too sweet nor too vinegary. My fish du jour, grilled Mahi Mahi, was okay but it was too bland for my taste. It was cooked perfectly, not too dry nor quivering, but was bland like it was made for the tourists who do not like spicy New Orleans food.

It was an overall great experience. It wasn’t too busy, food was delish, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Went to an anniversary party there and nearly everything was wonderful. Food was amazing, I couldn’t stop eating. Bartender was super nice, my nephews loved her. Parking can be a pain but tolerable. Only minor thing was dirty dishes could’ve been picked up quicker but wasn’t to bad. The experience was great and I can’t wait to go back there again.

My husband and I love going to Blue Crab for their happy hour. Both char grilled and raw oysters are part of their happy hour menu along with other appetizers. Happy hours is Monday -Thursday 4-6:30pm.

Great food and location. Located off the water. Best server I have had in a long time. The charbroiled crab is a must have.

On vacation: I Had fried shrimp platter. Atmosphere, location, restroom excellent. Shrimp was good but I didn’t like fries. Jalapeño hushpuppies was good too. Friends had whole flounder (rave reviews) and wedge salad. We would return.

Beautiful day in New Orleans today so we decided to go have dinner by the lake. Finally I got a chance to eat at The Blue Crab. It’s usually too busy during the weekend. The food was delicious. We had the fried oysters and catfish. Serving size was good because you get side I wanted a salad but you can get French fries, veggies and more. The calamari was probably my favorite of them all. I’ll need to come back to try other items from the menu.
