A beautiful lakeview restaurant that we stopped by for our VT to MA fall foliage tour. Captured the delicious dishes, and I must say, to whatever you are contemplating to order right as you read my review, please go ahead and order your starter – my absolute favorite “Spicy Blue Crab Rangoon Gratin” – while you decide for the rest. Crispy Coconut Shrimp and Crispy Pork Belly Bowl(which was a lunch special for the weekend) was phenomenal as well.
The servers and manger was very cordial and loved their service.
To anyone looking for a relaxing and worthwhile dining restaurant, this is your spot!

5/5 All the way!! Opened 7 weeks ago and we did not experience any growing pains. They knocked it out of the park. From the food to location to great service. Opened year round with outdoor seating that is seasonal. Full bar. Nice selection of wine and great crafted cocktails. Looks cozy inside w room for a larger party. Started with the cornbread with maple butter. Soft with a crispy top and mouthwatering maple butter had me contemplating what else could I slather this on. Choice of lobster roll hot or cold. Reasonably priced at $36. Comes with fries or coleslaw. Husband ordered chicken sandwich and they accommodated his request for blackened Cajun seasoning. Dessert menu was lovely and we had the crème brûlée that did not disappoint. We sat on the water and it was a beautiful Fall day!! I can not wait to come back!

My cousin and I optimistically launched the boat with black clouds looming and made it past the no wake marker in the harbor as we witnessed the first lightning bolt. We bolted back to the dock, tied up and ran to The Blue Canoe as the skies opened with torrential rain. Were we ever lucky! The staff gleefully greeted us as we came in out of the rain and happily told us to pick a table. Melissa came to our table and took the brunt of our silly dad jokes without a flinch. We knew we wanted to bide our time until the storm past. We ordered our beers and slow rolled our food order. Melissa was happily accommodating but I’m sure relieved when we ordered the Crispy Gochujang Chicken Wings to share. A friendly staff member casually stopped by and described the Chef’s wonderful obsession about massaging his flavorful marinade into those chicken wings and letting them rest overnight to absorb the flavor. The crispy wings arrived and we were treated to the fruits of his labor. They were crispy, full of flavor and slip off the bone delicious. We were two very happy guys! Next, opting for something a little lighter, we went for the bowl dishes. Not that we both didn’t contemplate the Grilled 8-ounce Beef Burger. Haha. My cousin chose the Faroe Island Salmon Poke bowl, while I chose the Crispy Coconut Shrimp bowl. Both bowls were fresh and delicious. All throughout our visit Melissa was jovial and the staff was friendly. Speaking for myself, I need to go back and bring some friends to try more items of the Chef’s menu. I’ll update you with another review on my next visit!

Beautiful outdoor seating area and very tasty lobster roll! We also enjoyed the coconut shrimp bowl, only slightly disappointed they didn’t have oysters when we stopped by. Otherwise a great hidden gem!

Juliette took care of us and couldn’t have been better. Her recommendations were spot-on, and everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. The cocktail list was clearly crafted by someone who knows what they’re doing — especially The Big City Cat, made with an amazing gin I’m already planning to buy. But what truly made the meal memorable was Juliette herself — warm, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. She turned a great dinner into a really special experience.

Our experience here was a bit uneven…upon arrival on a busy Friday night, we were lucky to score a table just as another party was leaving. Our server was friendly but a bit scattered. Yellowfin tuna nachos are a nice starter. Wine selections on this evening weren’t great but made the most of it.

We ordered a Chilean sea bass special and it was raw when cutting into it. For a restaurant that’s seafood focused, this is unacceptable. Luckily, our server was able to make it right with no fuss, which was greatly appreciated.

In summary, we really wanted to like this restaurant but not sure we’ll be back until it’s a little more established and consistent in its offerings.

We had an awesome evening here. The food was outstanding. The ambience perfect. The staff super friendly and warm. Small things like when they got a special coloring book out for our kid ..these are what make the evening even more special.
We got the Salmon grilled to perfection and with two amazing sides —the Orzo salad with lemon and parsley and the Cole slaw were amongst the best I have ever had. We actually ended up ordering an additional one ..it was SO good.

Something about eating such good and fresh food by the amazing Lake Sunapee as people boated to dinner and the lively and inviting vibe of the place..we can’t wait to go back. Wish them all the best and feel they are going to make a mark based on our experience in their second month.

We had a Fabulous time last night. We sat in the bar area in the back and Jenny was our Bartender/Server. She was very personable and attentive. Was on point the whole evening even though it was very busy. She definitely knows how to make some cocktails. She made the best old fashioned my husband has had in a long time. She also made a mean dirty martini too.
I enjoyed a lobster roll with the hot butter and fries. I was very satisfied with it. Fries were hot and very tasty. Loved the lobster. Nice portion and had good flavor. Hubby had the swordfish with chimmichuri sauce. It had so much flavor. He really enjoyed the lemon orzo salad he ordered as a side.
We wish we were here more nights so we could go back a few more times to explore the menu and we would ask for Jenny again.

DISAPPOINTING dinner experience at Blue Canoe in Sunapee, NH. We were a group of 6. Once we placed our order, it took quite awhile for meals to arrive (30+ minutes, and it wasn’t that busy). 5 dinners came out, with one missing. One of the 5 dinners was cold, like it just came out of the fridge (plate and chicken were very cold). Sent back and when it arrived, it was still cold. Sent it back again but did not want to try a 3rd time. The one dinner that was missing from our party, still hadn’t arrived. (15-20 minutes later, finally). Later, a cup of tea was asked for and guess what? LUKE WARM. Sent back. Waiting and waiting for the tea, by now, the group was ready to leave. The front greeter brought the tea to our table as we were leaving. She made a point to say she personally boiled the water, it was hot and she needed to put the cup down because it was so hot. We told her it was too late, we were leaving. She didn’t seem to take constructive criticism very well regarding our experiences of one dinner missing, cold food and luck warm tea. She began making excuses for being fairly new opening and getting settled..She made excuses for the cook (who happened to be their experienced cook from one of their other restaurants). Sadly, 6 locals are in no hurry to go back.

Really enjoyed our dinner at the Blue Canoe last evening. Had the stuffed flounder special which was excellent. Corn bread appetizer and apple crumble dessert were terrific too. Significant upgrade from previous restaurant.
