Wow! What a hidden gem in Dawsonville. Located off the beaten path behind the outlet mall this is a great place.

Stopped by today on our way back to the ATL, its been here since 2020, we had no idea.

The atmosphere is next level, the food and menu is next level, and so is the service. I added the waghu buger, great meat flavor and the toppings brought it all together.

This is our new goto when passing through.

We enjoyed a lovely surprise date night here on a Friday night and luckily they were able to add us in. I would definitely recommend making a reservation. There were so many regulars, and it wasn’t hard to tell why. The food was fantastic. I ordered the steak and my hubby ordered the Pork Osso Bucco. The atmosphere is not pretentious. I was concerned with the pricing I’d be under dressed, but it has a cozy feel. Julia was our server and an absolute delight. She made us feel at home and gave us honest recommendations. We will absolutely be back!

Last visited was in 2024 and was very disappointed. But decided to try again – big mistake! Booked party of 4 march 5th at 7pm. Arrived with few customers in restaurant with no others arriving after us – should have been an indicator for what was to come! Server was knowledgeable but left us with far too long periods. I ordered what I was told was last rack of lamb. Most would know lamb is served pink not overcooked to over well done. Server did not ask how I wanted the rack to be prepared. Any chef would be appalled to have presented such a meal! Spent almost two hundred $$$. I will not return again no better than two years ago! To be fair my wife loved her crab cakes and other couple were just ok with their selections. Seems no one cares what comes out of the kitchen – too bad this was once a very good restaurant!

First the good. The trout was fantastic and cooked to perfection and seasoned wonderfully. My waiter was very thoughtful and very kind. I was impressed how he graciously handled a customer who was being rude. The space is very cute inside with a colorful mural in one room and a little more fancy in the second room. Now the not great. I never like QR code menus. I can see it for a take out restaurant but not a place referring to itself as a bistro. I ordered the stuffed date appetizer. One date still had a pit in it. I could have cracked a tooth. The bacon was burnt and hard to chew. The salad it came out on had rotted pieces of lettuce. If you are stuffing a date with cheese how do you miss its large pit? It takes a second to pull bad lettuce out of a mix. I could see missing this if you were crazy busy but when I was there only three tables were occupied. I felt the prices were fair.

I firmly believe in transparency in reviews so after 8 years of eating regularly at BB I’m a little disappointed in my last two visits. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 is due to the great staff service quality and in hopes the new owners read this and adjust accordingly. During my last two visits, ‘most’ of the food wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t the same quality prior to the transfer of ownership. The mushroom Gnocchi app was missing the mix of normal exotic shrooms and it was under cooked. The quality of the steak was also lacking…too much gristle. During our previous visit we didn’t even eat the mushroom/gnocchi app it was so bad. I certainly hope the new owners move the bar back to where it was before the ownership transition. As always, the service was outstanding so hats off to the service staff.

Found this place in the midst of all the Christmas shopping chaos and walked right in and was seated. Food is phenomenal with a mix of upscale fare from homemade crab cakes to peppercorn crusted steak. The warm salad is absolutely a must as well as the egg nog creme brulee. Service was attentive and very knowledgeable about all of the menu items. I highly recommend trying this establishment.

The absolute best restaurant in Dawsonville. The food and service is always outstanding. The chef adjusts the menu, so there are new things to try, along with favorites. If you love French cuisine, you have to eat at the Blue Bicycle. I have yet to have anything on the menu, that I did not love.
As for the menu, the blue cheese chips, chicken liver mouse and pimento cheese starters are not to be missed. The wild shrimp with grit cake is outstanding. The Steak fries are great too. I highly recommend eating here, enjoy.

The Blue Bicycle really means it when they say, “Come, relax, eat and enjoy.” I came here for my birthday dinner with a group of friends and had an amazing time; the atmosphere and friendly staff makes the Blue Bicycle a nice cozy spot for a great meal.

First off, if you ever come here and the Exotic Mushrooms with Gnocchi is on the menu, get it. Your only regret will be that you did not have enough patience to take a picture of your dish before diving into this beautiful and savory appetizer (like me).

For my main, I chose the Seared Smoked Duck Breast which had a nice and light sauce. The dish was good overall but my rice felt a little harder/dryer than I would have liked. Our table also tried the seasonal Laura’s Ratatouille which was fantastic and the goat cheese on top made it that much better.

We finished our night with desserts, mine being a peaches and cream cake which was a refreshing and sweet end to a great evening with my friends.

The Blue Bicycle is definitely worth a try and if you ever find yourself there, take some time to appreciate the cute little salt and pepper shakers they have for each table!

We had a tremendous time. The food quality was excellent. It was just so unexpected. We came into the restaurant with little expectations, but left with a certaincy that we would come back. I had the mustard chicken….really really gooood.

Understand that If there are good reviews that are a year +older, then it’s for previous owners. We used to love to eat here, but since new ownership, it has gone waaaaay down in quality and value! The atmosphere is definitely not the same either! The waitress was very nice but a little slow. The Smokey old fashioned was more like a smokey cherry with some bourbon- much lacking in taste and “smoke”. The appetizer of crab cakes left much to be desired! It wasn’t “cakes” but just a cake of bread crumbs and corn! The Caesar salad was a wilted mess. For $8 you would expect crisp Romain with nice shaved Parmesan but was not! The main course of filets were lacking in freshness and over abundance of salt! The asparagus was like a few strings of pine straw with twice over-cooked potatoes. The filet was not evenly cooked, but taste was so, so. An American bistro gone! we will NOT go back!
