A place you’ll return to again and again. Wheelchair friendly bar/ restaurant with an extensive menu. Shrimp risotto was perfectly prepared with homemade bacon bits and corn making it sweet, savory and delicious. Grilled chicken salad definitely a meal, sausage pasta very tasty, not spicy as ordered off menu with no changes, it could use more meat but it was a large shareable size portion and delicious. French fries!! Fresh cut and !! And let me tell you the lemon drop martini , not to be missed. I could drink them all day everyday. Refreshing not too sweet, not too tart. Best lemon drop martini ive ever had. Perfect balance of lemonade and alcohol. Could be a romantic date but also a girls day out or even a family date. Perfect for all occasions.

We had last visited this establishment when they were still in Axemann several years back and through a complete lapse of attention on our part, we didn’t realize where they had located to until today.
There’s kind of two atmosphere’s upon entering this place. One is a darker, tavern vibe. The other is a much more open and brighter seating area that has some nice windows. We were seated promptly and attended to quickly by our waitress who explained the menu and their drink offerings.
I opted for a flight to try a number of beers (this being a brewery I think that’s important) and my partner ordered a cider. Our drinks came swiftly and we entered our food selection. First of all the menu has a number of things that we were interested in trying and everything is made there from scratch. Most items are made when you order it which is awesome. I opted for a vodka with meatballs and my partner went for a mushroom risotto with steak. The vodka sauce was fantastic with a nice low level spice in the background. The pasta was cooked perfectly for me with the right mix of chew and tenderness. The meatballs were home made and full of flavor. My partner’s risotto has a complex profile and was extremely fresh. The steak was cooked perfectly and extremely tender.
Insofar as the beer selection, I’m typically an IPA guy but the surprising standout for me was the Rubio. I’m a fan of pale cervezas, but I didn’t expect to find such a respectable version of one here in central PA. It was bright, aromatic, and extremely refreshing. Definitely worth a try.
The service throughout was friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. The portions were well worth the price. There’s a ton of things I want to try on the menu. We’ll definitely be back here again in the future. Truly just a lovely little spot!

Wow, what a fantastic fine in central PA. Creative menu that didn’t disappoint. Super service meals came out so hot. Fantastic drinks to complement a great night. Couldn’t have asked for more. Can’t wait to come back.

Blonde Bistro Brew Works is a really cozy bistro/brewery. Two drinks to start, Riesling was tasty and generous pour, I would say my Husband’s whiskey sour was average. Had the white clams and muscles to start. One of the things I love when dining out is when a carafe or pitcher of ice water is left on the table; we’re water drinkers! Food is very good. The Hot Mess was a fried basket of fun, never had corn on the cob tempura before and it was delicious! The lobster ravioli Hubby ordered was good, sauce was tasty without overpowering the delicate seafood flavors. I would like to give a shout out to our server and chef for preparing our food without garlic. Because everything is cooked to order, they had the flexibility to accommodate this request, and it was handled with grace and respect. It’s a cute place with roomy and comfortable seating. Super friendly, hometown feel. Definitely worth a stop!

We stumbled upon this place while in the State College area, and we are so glad we did. We had a wonderful meal (tasty, good quality food and substantial portions) at a reasonable price. Our wait person was also knowledgeable about the menu, an excellent server, and just a lovely person.
My husband had the Pittsburgh steak salad, and I had the Field and Stream, which was 2 large pork chops and some grilled shrimp, broccoli, and potatoes. Then we shared canolli for dessert. All delish. We’ll be back and we highly recommend it.

The food at Blonde Bistro and Brew Works is excellent. We frequently eat here and haven’t had a meal that we were disappointed in. The Alfredo dishes (chicken alfredo is the pic below) are excellent and the Amish Beef Noodles are delicious! My wife loves the southern sweet risotto and I enjoy the Brunette Rye Ale thoroughly.

Had a delightful and delicious lunch with friends at the Blonde Bistro. Shared an app of the Blonde Bombs (highly recommended!). Lasagna and pizza were amazing. Plenty enough to request take home boxes. Stromboli to go (for hubby) looks delicious and I’m sure it will be. And check out that gorgeous cocktail – a pineapple upside down martini. I hear it was very very tasty (as was my Rubio Mexican lager).
Service was excellent – Chris, our server, was very attentive and checked in on us frequently. Ciara, the owner, even came to our table several times to chat and answer any questions we had. Food served quickly and correctly. We all left very pleased and each of us are looking forward to visiting again.

The blonde bombs and the pretzel were awesome. The salad was loaded. The pasta was good, but their cook needs to learn how to cook gluten-free pasta. My gf pasta was mush and not even pasta. Other than that, this place is great. The bloody marys were amazing also.
