Now, let’s talk about the drinks, those slushies are nothing short of legendary! Don’t let their colorful, appealing appearance fool you; these icy delights pack a serious punch with their delightful blend of flavors and a robust kick of alcohol that’ll have you coming back for more!
And oh, the food! The truffle fries were a heavenly experience, bursting with rich truffle flavor and perfectly seasoned, no overwhelming saltiness here! Every bite was pure bliss. The mac and cheese was luxuriously creamy, a comfort food dream come true, while the chicken was seasoned to perfection, leaving you craving another bite. Each dish was an invitation to indulge and enjoy, making the outing nothing short of unforgettable! The service was fantastic considering how busy they were. The location has a good casual vibe but the only 1 flaw is its small parking lot but they do have street parking.
The food options are outstanding and incredibly diverse, catering to everyone without compromising on quality or flavor. Their famous broasted chicken is a must-try: crispy on the outside, unbelievably juicy inside, and seasoned to perfection–it’s elevated comfort food at its best. I devoured the honey pecan chicken salad, loaded with fresh greens, apples, strawberries, grapes, and that irresistible honey mustard drizzle; it’s light yet satisfying with generous portions.
Burgers are next-level–juicy patties on pretzel buns with creative toppings like bacon, BBQ, and onion strings that add the perfect crunch. The rice bowls are fresh and customizable, like the ahi tuna poke with sushi-grade fish, avocado, edamame, and coconut rice that’s vibrant and healthy without feeling boring. They shine with vegan and gluten-free choices too, like the plant-based burger with vegan mozzarella and avocado spread that even meat-lovers rave about.
Brunch is a weekend highlight: fluffy buttermilk pancakes topped with fresh berries, or inventive dishes like mini pancake tacos stuffed with eggs, bacon, and hash browns–pure indulgence washed down with boozy shakes or craft cocktails from their 36 taps. Sides like the totchos (tater tot nachos) are addictive shareables that disappear fast.
Service is always friendly and attentive, making you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Portions are hearty, prices fair for the quality, and the overall experience leaves you full, happy, and eager to return–whether for a casual lunch, happy hour, or dinner with friends (and furry ones). The Block nails elevated bar food in a fantastic setting; it’s become my favorite spot in St. Louis Park!
The place was packed, with a crowd waiting to be seated. We were seated right away, though.
We had an attentive server and we never had to wait for drink refills. The bar and kitchen were backed up, but we were in no hurry. Our server acknowledged the wait and kept coming to check on us.
The food is so good and varied enough to have something for different palates. The cocktails are so good. I had two of the old fashioned and they were so smooth and delicious. Everyone else enjoyed their beers.
Thanks to the staff at the Block for making our Christmas dinner amazing!
