The Block at Woods Hill is a farm-driven, small plates restaurant in Boston’s Seaport. Separate from Woods Hill Pier 4 and Woods Hill Table, The Block offers dry-aged meats, biodynamic wines, and a market with curated farm goods. This is a distinct dining experience under the Woods Hill umbrella. THE FARM CONNECTION Whenever possible, meats served at The Block are raised at The Farm at Woods Hill in Bath, New Hampshire, where regenerative farming reflects our commitment to stewardship, transparency, and care. When additional sourcing is needed, we partner with trusted farmers who share these same values.

The chef came out and explained every dish. He was wonderful and so approachable. He even did a q&a for everyone.
There was a salad dish with raw pumpkin in it and it was fabulous! I’m not sure how he made this special type of raw pumpkin so yummy.
The tuna tartar was excellent. As was the steak
The dessert was to die for. It was a chiclet cake with pumpkin mousse. Would definitely dine here again in a heartbeat.
The food did not disappoint, and our waitress was phenomenal. We almost ordered the whole menu! Our favorite dish was the beef carpaccio. The only dish I think they need to reconsider is the tuna crudo; the ingredients just didn’t go well together.
When we were paying, we briefly mentioned it was my birthday. The waitress was so sweet and sent over a coconut purée as a gift! It was a perfect end to the meal.
A sincere thank you to Victoria Hurley for having us again this year. We truly appreciate your trust in Hello Photo Booth Rental and always enjoy working with you and your team. The event was filled with energy and excitement, and it was wonderful to see guests having such a great time at the photo booth.
The Block at Woods Hill’s staff were outstanding—professional, attentive, and incredibly welcoming. Their hospitality made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.
Thank you again to The Block at Woods Hill – Seaport and Victoria Hurley for another fantastic celebration. We look forward to returning next year! ✨
Had the BEST night at the grand opening of **The Block** in Seaport and I’m still dreaming about:
Deviled eggs with a kick
Melt-in-your-mouth beef carpaccio
A martini flight that made decisions impossible (so we tried them all)
A charcuterie board that was almost too pretty to eat… almost . The Block is located next to its sister restaurant Woods Hill at Pier 4. I can’t wait to come back.
1. The service was fantastic. Our bartender, Emma Rue, came right up to us as we were sitting down. She was a doll. All the staff was so nice and made the experience a 10.
2. The food. We had already eaten meals and were only looking for a 1 more drink, but could help but order a few snacks because the menu looked SO GOOD! The focaccia bread, the pig tots, and the ice cream sundae were all AMAZING.
3. The drinks. I got the farmers special drink and it was beets, which sounds wild, but it was SO GOOD and the way that Emma Rue described it was perfect, which is even more impressive. The old fashion was also amazing, and we ended the night with a few glasses of orange wine.
4. The ambiance. If you are a foodie, sitting at the bar by the chefs counter is for you. We got to see them make everything and their precision, cleanliness, and professionalism was a 10. It was very fun watching all the cool plates be made.
I don’t think this is a place for kids, but it’s a fantastic date night spot and I will be going back time and time again.
LOVE!
The pommes soufflé are a must if you love a caviar-chip moment. We practically licked the plate clean with the buffalo cauliflower. The persimmon salad had so many textures and felt incredibly fresh, and the salmon crudo was lovely. The tuna ribeye is like nothing I’ve ever had before — really, really delicious and so interesting.
The service is phenomenal, and the space is dark, cozy, and romantic at night. Definitely will be back, especially in the summer!
They will recommend the charcuterie— listen to them. The duck rilette and pate campagne were excellent – everywhere they tried to combine flavors they landed the subtleties wonderfully. Other standouts for us were the deviled eggs.
They have a cocktail menu, which we sampled. Even as cocktail lovers, though, we were seduced by a really creative and well-curated wine list. It isn’t extensive, but we were happy with our selections.
Dessert was an amazingly smooth ice cream with a balsamic drizzle — top marks.
The location is amazing, right on the water with the sunset behind it. The food is already very good – given time to shake out the wrinkles, this could become a real fan favorite.
