Seven of us went into the Black squirrel for drinks, There is a small group of people sitting at the end of the bar, when we walked in, they just stared at us, made a few comments. We waited for the bartender. A few minutes later she came out of the restroom didn’t come to our table. Didn’t ask if we want drinks. One person in our group called to ask if there was a bartender on site and she responded “NO” so we walked out. Always loved Black squirrel, Henry is our favorite bartender. Sure wish he would’ve been there last night. Not sure we will be back.

The first bar my wife and I went to after moving to council bluffs. The bartender, Henry, helped us pick drinks when we didn’t know what we wanted which made the night even more enjoyable. the other comments say he’s a mind reader and that’s accurate. The overall atmosphere of the place was cozy and the people were friendly and inviting. 10/10 would recommend this spot to anyone!
