Hands down the most beautifully made crust on a pizza I’ve ever seen or had. The entire pie is clearly made with love, quality and fresh ingredients. Heard great things about this place. Didn’t disappoint. Best pizza I’ve had in Reno!

Visiting from out of town and enjoyed a special pizza that I forget the name.. our son did not like his pizza and we explained that he picked the wrong one for this type of pizza.
Staff were nice

The pizza wasn’t really tasty at all. The vegetarian pizza’s toppings were not as fresh as we expected. There is no aroma to it. The onions, bell peppers have no taste, the tomatoes were cold and just put on top of the baked pizza. The garlic bread has no garlic taste too. Maybe the meat pizzas are good. But as vegetarian, the quality is not the best. This Blind onion that I’m pertaining to is by Kings Row location

This isn’t a place to visit more than once.
I don’t mind spending money on food but with the higher price points for the type of food you’re ordering, come greater expectations.

The crust under the pizza is too thin and just alittle under cooked.
The crust on the edge of the pie is very much too thick, it’s the height of a Parker roll.

The sauce is not impressive, and the tomatoes are almost tasteless.
Though the rest of the vegetables are decent enough.

The last point, is I arrived an hour before they closed and the guy at the counter looked and sounded annoyed that I was making an order and having him work.

All around pretty average.
Not bad, just not good, this place stands out in no way compared to its competitors.

2.5/5

The blind onion makes a great pizza.

Not only is it delicious, it digests well (im looking at you mountain mikes). I can crush several pieces and feel great afterwards – no heartburn or feeling hungover.

There is some heft to the box; you know you’re carrying a pizza when you walk out that door.

As an observation most of the bad reviews seem to be issues that are not the fault of the onion (“my son ordered the wrong pizza and he didnt like it”, etc) or
people who order something the teenage mutant ninja turtles would order; I can’t vouch for marshmallow pepperoni with sardines.

As an aside: an all vegetable pizza is gonna suck every time. You can swing mushroom (underrated), or mushroom & olives, etc, but when you start putting cucumbers on pizza it’s a losing bet.

As evidence, look at what’s left over at any gathering with multiple pizzas.
Cheese, pep, combo, etc goes quick.

what’s left over? the “vegetarian” pizza with the sun-dried tomatoes and squash and such.

I’ll cut short my rant by saying if you want a good vegetarian pizza, order a cheese. Get it from the blind onion and it will be a good pizza.

This was a solid choice for pizza. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy during our visit, and our order was ready in about 15 minutes, which seemed reasonable. The crust was on the thicker side with a crisp texture. While that’s not my personal preference, I can see how others might enjoy it. If you typically like to add parmesan or crushed red pepper to your pizza, be sure to request them, as they aren’t provided by default. One unique aspect was the sausage, which came in large chunks rather than the crumbled style we usually see at other pizzerias. While that might not be what everyone expects, it added a distinct texture to the pizza. Overall, I’m glad we decided to give this place a try, and I can see it appealing to those who enjoy a heartier, crispier crust and chunkier toppings.

11.12.23: I love pizza is an understatement! Tonight I felt kinda sweet and spicy and went with the medium Blind Hawaiian pizza, spicy meaning just adding the pepper packet. I enjoyed the saltiness of the Canadian Bacon paired with sweet bites of pineapple and topped with parmesan cheese and peppers. If there was any complaint, I wished my red onions were cooked a tad bit more but nothing to squawk about really. On the other hand, there was plenty of pineapple and that was nice. Again, the crust was perfect and yummy as always.

I ordered through Door Dash and am giving the store and the driver props for remembering to include the ranch and honey that I requested.

10.29.23: Tonight I felt like a BBQ Chicken Pizza and it hit the spot. However my pizza could have used a tad bit more bbq sauce…I was feeling more saucy than usual. I had it delivered through doordash and it even arrived a few minutes early!

Fall update 10.23.23: I was craving a pepperoni pizza and remembered my local Blind Onion has a happy hour special from 2-6p on any 1 topping large pizza for $19.45 that’s with tax included! I’ll take a 20 buck bomb gourmet pizza any day of the week. I called it in for pick-up and the gentleman who answered was pleasant and said it’d be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived it was ready and he didn’t mind giving me a couple of ranch dressings and honey at my request. They do have peppers and cheese upon request. Again from previous reviews, my favorite is dipping the braided crust in honey for a sweet bite. It’s worth noting that there was plenty of pepperoni. Also the pizza reheats really great. I took a picture of the specials board, so check it out.

Update: 2.2.2023 I had it a few times since my review 2 months ago and had it again tonight lol. This time I added pics!

I love the Blind Onion! It’s consistently delicious and always hot. The gourmet braided crust is my favorite and I love dipping it in the honey they have there. Tonight I ordered the traditional General’s combo and wasn’t disappointed at all! They are always so generous with the toppings too. I also got the garlic chips and love that they’re thin, yet still soft and tasty.

I love Blind Onion pizza! I usually get their combo and they aren’t stingy with the amount of toppings. The braided crust dipped in honey at the end is a treat. Their garlic chips are pretty good too.

Fantastic pizza and draft beer as expected. We like to get extra red sauce. But they don’t serve tap water any more, so if you’re not going to have a beer, don’t go thirsty. They’ll only sell you bottled water or soda.

We haven’t gotten pizza from Blind Onion for a while. The restaurant was very neat and clean. There must be new owners because they always had honey and this time it wasn’t offered. The pizza was disappointing, no flavor, more like frozen from the store. We won’t go there again.
