Shhh, I’ve got a secret about some ice cream in a hole in the wall. The Blast Soft Serve has many different flavors of ice cream and different treats and prices are very reasonable. They change their flavors for the season. The ice cream flurries have great flavor were it is well blended! Every time I’m down in Northfield I have to go and get a little treat. So if you have a sweet tooth for some ice cream, this is the best place to go for all ages!

This spot is a local favorite for ice cream in Northfield! The flavors are super rich and delicious, and there’s a wide variety to choose from. There’s almost always a line, but it moves quickly. Definitely worth the wait. I’d totally recommend grabbing a cone here!

Blast Ice cream It’s such a Blast to come here!!! It’s a must stop when you find yourself in Northfield, it’s down an alley under a little tunnel, you can’t miss it, there’s a super long line. Blast is very busy but worth the wait, it moves quick. The menu is extensive, there are so many choices! Bring cash to save on fees for using your card.
There is no seating but you can find one along the river or just walk with your ice cream and enjoy the views.

This a wonderful place! We’ve been taking our kids here weekly since moving into the area. The ice cream is outstanding, great customer service, the line moves fast and the riverside view tops it off beautifully. Definitely Check it out with your date, family, friend/s or just for the heck of it. You won’t be disappointed!

The Blast is excellent! I had the special they had today, the Puppy Chow flurry, and it was phenomenal! Excellent ice cream treats with huge portions! Definitely a must stop when in Northfield!

Unfortunately the Blast replaced the delicious lactose free soft serve with a vegan soft serve that has a horrible chemical flavor. I hope they can either improve the vegan flavor or bring back the lactose free version! The Blast has been my favorite ice cream spot for so many years so this is very disappointing 🙁

Definitely some of the best ice cream around with sooooo many options. The amount you get compared to a chain ice cream place for less cost makes it even more worth the stop.

The Blast had a good soft serve selection of options that doesn’t break the bank. It’s a walk up window that is covered, and the location has a cool aesthetic. My kids got the flavor burst cones, which I was thrilled were only $2.25 each. I got the Oreo flurry, which was far better than a blizzard from Dairy Queen and it was also less expensive – aka it was a good value all around. If the Blast were near me I would be thrilled, but I would also need to go to the gym more.
