Cool place with local history, main dining area I could see being a bit loud but it is a cool building with outdoor seating and bar as well. I really liked the flavor of the curry mussels although a number of them weren’t fully cooked as they weren’t opened at all. The blackbird salad was very good but the blackened salmon didn’t have much flavor, it was cooked perfectly. The Mac and cheese is made there and was very good. Fries came out luke warm. Our waitress was very friendly but not the most attentive as there were only two tables seated and had to ask several times for water refills. I may go back to try again, some items are reasonably priced and others seem a bit steep. Almost rated a four but based on price, service that day and food ended with a three.

Awesome dinner on their opening day. Plenty of different food options ranging from more reasonably priced to more expensive dinners. Drinks were reasonable and they had a wide selection of cocktails and local beers and wines. Service was really quick and food was delicious. I’ll definitely be back again to try more! Excited to see what’s to come with this new restaurant.

We came this evening and they were short-staffed. They seated us in a large room, and there was a very very large and loud party next to us. We asked to move a bit away.. it was a little better but they were still loud and we could barely talk to each other.
it took us a long time to get seated, a long time to order. it was an hour before we ate. The tacos were good, the prime rib sandwich was very good.

This was our first time. We found this to be a cozy and warm restaurant with super nice people at the bar and working there. This port filet was killer. We made such good friends with some folks at the bar we ended up joining them at their house after for a cocktail! We’ll definitely be back!

Great dinner and experience here with my wife last night Our waiter, Brandon was top notch! We frequent this place often and this was the best experience we’ve had thus far! Everything came out in a timely manner and tasted great! Best Brussels sprouts around hands down! The deserts are to die for, so decadent and delicious with whimsical visuals as well. We shared the apple cherry chutney pork chop and that’s by far our favorite dish! Great drink selections and if you like Bloody Mary’s, definitely get theirs!

The food was good. The spicy shrimp I had for starter was just okey it was dry. The trout was really good. And red robin drink martini was the best then the other one I had later.

The Balckbird is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. It was our anniversary, and I called ahead to try and make the night a little special. To my surprise there were even flowers at the table!!! Food was incredible, you can really tell the difference in a scratch kitchen. Have to try the wings!!! The cholulu butter and the agave bbq sauces both crushed it. Anytime anyone I know goes through the Southwest of Michigan, I’ll be telling them to stop by. Cannot wait for the next trip out!!!

While visiting a bed and breakfast in St. Joe we were told about a new restaurant that would soon be opening in Coloma. Always looking for an opportunity to try a new place I decided to take my husband to a bourbon tasting as a Father’s Day adventure a day early. The restaurant is housed in an old service station/restaurant near Paw Paw Lake. They have retained the original brick from the service station as the backdrop for the bar…very cool! We were led to their upstairs event space where Adam gave us a brief history of the 5 ryes that we would be tasting while Kali did a great job of introducing us to each food pairing. We both enjoyed all five ryes but chose the Whistle Pig served with Salted Caramel Pork Belly as our favorite, hands down! We ended our tasting with a delicious blueberry bread pudding served with High West Double Rye!! Life is all about experiences and this is one we’d highly recommend!!
