Thumbs Up!
Easy to find, near busy intersection, food is yummy, I had the Pulled Pork sandwich and the Smoked Sausage and both were delicious! There is a line wait sometimes and limited parking so get there early , I was waiting just as they opened and I got in and out, I think there’s online order option so just allow time because they have lots of patrons, it’s a pick up n go location this spot has great food and friendly service and a smile so Thumbs Up! to THE RIB DOCTOR BBQ
I do not suggest this place at all
The food is from a food truck it’s not a brick and mortar location ,but the billows of smoke from the barbecue pits was always enticing.
Today changed everything. My wife and I ordered pulled pork sandwiches with all the fixing, mac and cheese and their baked beans. It turned out to be way too much food for us but we suffered through it.
The food was great, nice Smoky flavor the mac and cheese was way better than my grandma’s and the beans were better than I could make. We were impressed.
They’re at the corner of mountain view and Murfreesboro road. So next time you’re driving by, steer in, park and order from the wonderful ladies they will change your world.
Today I opted for the Family Special of a rack of ribs, pound of pulled pork, sides of baked beans and potato salad, bread and sauces.
The ribs had an amazing bark on them and the pork was moist and plentiful. The beans were loaded with beef and onion and the potato salad was decent – it was the weakest component of the meal but the potatoes were firm and well chilled with a fair amount of dressing.
Here’s the breakdown:
Solid, smoky meats +1 star, great beans +1 star, friendly and smiling service +1 star, a ton of food +1 star, nice sweet and spicy bbq sauce +1 star.
I’ve eaten here several times and have had great food every time. If you’re driving by stop in – well worth it.
I’ll be back for sure!
Now on to the experience I had with the rib doctor. I ordered the ribs, mac and cheese, collard greens, and baked beans. None were anything to write home about or make me come back again. The seasoning on the ribs was good. Tastes like a salt and pepper rub. However, the ribs were dry. The baked beans were as thick as mashed potatoes and had no flavor. The mac and cheese also had minimal flavor and the cheese was thick and just felt like something you’d buy from the grocery store. The collard had a smoke flavor to them but still not the greatest.
I saw wood logs behind the trucks but saw no smoker for them. Every grill looked to be using just charcoal which is what I tasted in my ribs.
Seems like a back yard set up but with a food truck. Like I said, it’s working for them so keep doing it.
rib plate was awesome as well. Juicy meat , they out they foot in the flavor. ‼️‼️
That tea was on point , I wish I had got 5 of emmm.
