The amazing staff and consistency of the food and cocktails here is amazing. We love love love this place every single time. Their flavor combinations are elevated and new and delightful but never pretentious. It’s a bit of a drive for us to get to but it’s a top 3 for sure. The Black Sheep in Hampden has quickly become one of our absolute favorites in the Springfield area.
The ambiance is incredibly comfortable with a cool speakeasy vibe that makes you want to stay all night. I have never seen such care and craft go into the preparation of a cocktail. The presentation is stunning and you can tell everything is made with fresh housemade mixers and ingredients. The Banana Walnut Old Fashioned is my absolute favorite seasonal beverage!
The food is also top notch. Mostly small plates, they have something for everyone. They use high quality Prime and Wagyu meats and every dish is executed with a level of quality that stands out.
What really seals the deal is the people. The owners, chef, bartenders, and waitstaff are all incredibly warm and inviting. You feel like a regular from the moment you walk in.
A true black sheep in the best way possible. It is unique, high quality, and a gem for Western Mass. Highly recommended!

Well, I’m back. Its been a little while since my last review. I’m glad I stopped at The Black Sheep. What a wicked cool place. Much smaller than I expected but a wonderful atmosphere. Apparently, a reservation was needed, but luckily for us they were extremely accommodating and they were able to provide us a table. We originally wanted to go there for some drinks, but we ended up trying their chefs take on deviled eggs. They were excellent, and very well presented. They had great selection of cocktails, I just wish they had more beer to chose from, and that’s only because I’m picky. Also I want to point out that our waitress was phenomenal, she is very smart and knows that menu and drinks inside and out without any hesitation whatsoever. Come check this place out. Its wicked cool!

This place is the place to be. Its the place i bring all my out of town visitors to have a good time. The vibes are intimate and their beverages are top notch. All my guests are always impressed by their coctails. The bartenders are all so friendly and talkative! Something you no longer see in other places. Good job guys!

This place was incredible — the atmosphere was super cool, and the food was absolutely amazing. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking to take someone on a nice date, especially in Western Mass. The owner and chef were both so friendly; they even came out to chat with us and treated us to a round of drinks on the house! I also loved being able to catch the basketball game while we ate. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again soon

The place really kicks off a vibe going thru them curtains then Viola a whole new atmosphere emerges the food is something to imagine when it comes to the menu if people understand the concept of dining then let the palates free taste buds feel the essence of good full scale food ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT !!!!!
