I can’t rave enough about this place! We had fried chicken and rice fantastic! I ate a mountain of spaghetti carbonara very good! On another day i had Cuban style lamb stew with black bean rice and plantain, exquisite. Service is good, there are people who can speak English. Quality is good. Presentation is good. Portions are huge! You will be taking the other half home. There will be a line up be prepared to wait if you show up in the evening. And don’t think coming until 11pm will help. I actually considered not posting this review because they are already too busy. I’m pretty sure other people have been submitting bad reviews for that reason. Whatever they can expand, or get better at triage. You gotta go!

Terrible hygiene. Really noisy and low quality food. The place is basically a garage transformed into a rustic dining. The food is abundant and bland and salty at the same time. But poor quality, like coming from yesterday leftovers. The music is loud and people yell and shout and it is pure madness. But the worst part is the smell and the absolute lack of basic hygiene and oxygen. I visited the place and I really regret I did. I felt sick just an hour late. Avoid.

On my two recent visits, La Rosa Negra is by far my favorite restaurant. The food is great with a wide variety of items to pick from. The service is amazing and the overall cost is inexpensive. Took the wife, kids, and my Cuban family and we ended up going again the following night. Try the daiquiris and anything on the menu, won’t disappoint.

The restaurant is a converted garage of a renovated one family home. The food was delicious. I had the fish sauteed with olive oil and garlic. You had to wait, but it was worth it. Have the sangria tropical while you do.,.. Two full meals with four cocktails, appetizers and coffee for 35 cuc? Nice…

This is a hidden jewel in Havana Cuba. Clean, courteous staff, (a couple that speaks English). Many of the locals eat here, prices are economical and the food is VERY TASTY. This is a must for quite reasonable lunch or dinners during your visit to Havana Cuba. Location is off the beaten path for tourist but well worth a visit or two. They sing for birthdays, serve the best cake and have a Hugh variety of alcoholic beverages available. Again this is the place to eat daily meals in the comfort of authentic Cuban decor and authentic Cuban meals.

This place had a really long wait- probably because it is popular with locals celebrating a special occasion. Twice, I heard the birthday song being played from the speaker for patrons. Foodwise, it was pretty good. I had the Cuban traditional pork steak and the pork leg. The portions were really big for a ~6CUC meal so I had to ask for a box at the end. Also, the waitors give you a rose when you leave the restaurant!

It’s a nice place, the service was fine, but I ordered the filet mignon and I’m disappointed. It looked more like a burrito, nothing close to what a filet mignon should look and taste like. Chefs offering filet mignon should know the meaning of the word “mignon” before making that dish. I know it’s Cuba, but hey, if you can’t meet the standars don’t offer it, because it wasn’t cheap compared to other places in town.

It used to be a good spot in terms of balancing price-quality. Not anymore! Besides inconsistency in the elaborations, it’s ridiculous how also they are charging 10 % mandatory gratuity for to- go orders besides also charging you for the food containers and for the bag too. Insane!
