The only minor downside was the lack of outdoor seating, which would’ve been nice for enjoying my latte in the fresh air. Still, the indoor space was cozy enough to make up for it. Black Cow Coffee Company is a gem in Pleasantville, especially vibrant in fall and spring when the village feels extra charming. I highly recommend stopping by for a drink and some beans to take home. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars for its excellent coffee and friendly atmosphere.

Rolling Suds Power Washing is based right here in Westchester, and whenever we’re in Pleasantville we always make a stop at The Black Cow Coffee Company. This Pleasantville coffee shop is truly a local gem, with the best fresh-brewed coffee, lattes, and espresso in Westchester County. The baristas are friendly, knowledgeable, and the service is consistently excellent.

Whether you’re looking for high-quality coffee beans to take home, a cozy spot to enjoy a cappuccino, or just the best coffee in Pleasantville, The Black Cow Coffee Company delivers every time. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and perfect for relaxing, working, or meeting friends. Their pastries and baked goods pair perfectly with the coffee and make this the go-to Pleasantville café for breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up.

If you’re searching for a Pleasantville coffee shop with great ambiance, delicious coffee, and a true community feel, The Black Cow Coffee Company is hands-down the best choice. Highly recommend this Westchester coffee shop to anyone who loves authentic, expertly crafted coffee.

Stopped in for a quick cup of coffee to go and it was super good! It’s a cute little shop with some of their merch and beans to buy. The service was good and the guy complimented my earrings which made me feel so good! I’d definitely come back 🙂

We’ve been customers of the Black Cow for over a decade and are taking a moment to applaud Michelle, the owner, for going above and behind today for us in a pinch in a large coffee order.

The café has been beautifully redone inside — it feels even more fresh and welcoming.

Whether you are looking work for a few hours, catch up with a friend, or sit outside with a dog after walking around town, the Black Cow in Pleasantville is the go-to coffee spot in the area. There are plenty of coffee varieties to choose from, and you can even grab beans to take home.

Always a great local spot with even better people.

Stopped by to grab a coffee while passing through the Pleasenville area. It’s a small coffee shop with a very friendly staff who are always wearing a smile. I tried their Cow Whip, and it was absolutely delicious! They also have a great selection of baked items. Worth the visit.

Such a quaint, creative coffee shop that has a couple of tables for sitting and drinking and is packed on farmer’s market Saturdays. Reminds me of a coffee shop you’d see in a college town. Their Black Cow coffee is far and away the winner – like a frothy hot cocoa with espresso and a dollop of whipped cream. Added a sprinkling of cinnamon and cacao powder and it was divine! Recommend telling them your to-stay and making sure they serve your drink in a ceramic mug for ultimate relaxation (and plastic-saving too!) Coming back here on a quieter Sunday morning with a deck of cards and another Black Cow.

5 stars!!!!

Best shop in the county. Great staff, quality coffee and ingredients. Good snacks too including goods from Balthazar. Every town should have an Indy coffee store.

Not on the menu board – but ask for “Megan’s drink.” – dirty chai (green tea – 1 scoop; espresso – 2 shots; light foam; oat milk).

If you like whole bean for home, I suggest Black Cow Blend, Mingus Java, or Mud (hard to find).

Although seating can be limited (less than 10 tables), if you go in the morning, there are numerous outside tables from nearby restaurants that you can sit at and enjoy your caffeine..

New remodel. Place looks great.

My absolute favorite place to get coffee. Even though there are 8 coffee places within about 250 feet of each other near my office in the city, I’d rather leave home early so can get my coffee here. Plus staff is very friendly.

I love trying and supporting local coffee shops, so I was hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, the service felt dismissive, and the coffee was bitter and watered down. Disappointed, especially as a first-time visitor.

A comfy coffee spot in Pleasantville that’s very homey. I had the matcha latte and croissant which was very good. I really enjoyed the ambiance here, with pastries and products from local businesses on display. You can tell it’s a community hub, with a consistent line throughout the day and plenty of flyers on their bulletin board. It’s also a nice location right across the street from the farmers market. I’ll definitely return again to try their chai latte (which appeared to be a really popular order)!
