This is a perfect casual brunch spot with a comfy, inviting atmosphere. The food is always delicious and served quick and fresh. They’re lucky to have someone as talented as Chef Greene behind the scenes! Today we had the chicken and sugar waffles with the fireball butter. The chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside and the waffles were fluffy with a hint of crunch from the sugar. Absolutely delightful!

Headed to Columbus and decided to stop in. Delicious! Fireball butter a must try, it was delicious. We had corned beef with potatoes and eggs! Very good. The waffles were the best waffles I’ve ever tasted. Fast friendly service. I will be going back!!

Two hungry Realtors® on a Sunday mission—putting up new listing signs in Wilmington, OH—and the clock said 2:30 PM. With the restaurant set to close at 3:00 PM ⏰, we called ahead, not wanting to impose. To our surprise, we were warmly welcomed and invited in with no hesitation. That hospitality alone earned a smile!

Yes, it looked like we arrived right after a busy brunch rush—tables needed a wipe, floors had seen some traffic—but honestly, we get it. It was the tail end of service and the crew was still running full steam.

The atmosphere? Let’s say it’s more “function over flair” (think: styrofoam cup vibes )—but the staff were friendly, and the menu had enough great options to keep us seated.

I went for the Chicken BLT wrap — hearty and satisfying.
My husband grabbed the pork sandwich — simple and filling.
No frills, but our empty stomachs left happy!

Big shoutout to the staff and kitchen team for their hospitality and hustle, even near closing time. If you find yourself in Clinton County and need a no-nonsense bite with welcoming service — give this place a visit. They’re working hard to serve the community, one plate at a time!

Had a great lunch passing through Wilmington . My husband loved his chicken and waffles with fireball sauce . He said best he has had!! I had the Cheeseburger and onion straws that hit the spot! Our waitress was very personable . Great place that we will be returning to when passing thru Wilmington .

I hear this gem is brought to you by the great minds behind the 73 Grill. Breakfast and Brunch! Yes please. The restaurant brought back life to a favorite location that recently closed. Gotta love new places to eat. It’s amazing. Be patient. Go try it! Support local.

My Husband and I went to try Black Bird’s (the food) for the first time $32.00 for meh food sadly not even meh..I could have went through Burger King my food would have been hot, better, and cheaper..my Husband asked if gravy and biscuits were homemade they told him yes, I truly find that hard to believe it looked and tasted like what you get at any other restaurant (like McDonald’s) not homemade the food was bland really no taste..I got a omelette that had so many uncooked green peppers in it I could not even finish eating it because just yuck..my apple juice was warm? Who serves warm apple juice…we won’t go back..$32.00 worth of food in the trash what a waste..my Husband and I both threw our food away

It was a bit of a wait for the food but totally worth the wait! I got chicken & biscuits and gravy, my daughter got a sandwhich with waffle fries, and my mom got a Frisco melt with the Alabama sauce. The food was absolutely outstanding! I also tried the fireball butter soooo good! We went on a Sunday about noon and they were busy. If I had a complaint it would just be that the food took quite a bit to get to us. Like probably 20 minns or so once our order was placed. A little fun fact I litterally googled “hole in the wall restraunts near me” this was the first thing that popped up! They did not disappoint!

We had the best brunch here! The special ‘grit bombs’ were incredible! Waffle with berry topping was also delicious. The staff were super friendly and helped with food recommendations. Would definitely eat here again when back in the area.

Pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious. Was greeted instantly and sat down. Refills came quickly for drinks. I was prepared to go into one of those quick replacements with very little choices after a great places closes. Not the case at all

The food was incredible! They have a variety of different things for everyone. If you are in the area between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. you have to check them out. Very sad to see the BBQ place go, but very glad great food remains at this location!
