What a great find. This locally owned restaurant provided a wonderful local atmosphere, fresh food and at reasonable prices. The service was good. There were only 2 people working but they did a wonderful job of keeping us informed and getting the food out to us hot and fresh. The menu is simple and uncomplicated. The prices are cheaper if you pay cash. You will be charged 3.75% for using a credit card. So if you are passing through Cooke City Montana, the Bristo is worth checking out.

We had a quick breakfast here and the food was tasty, the services was friendly and fast and the prices fair. Egg muffin sandwich was prepared nicely. I had eggs, hash browns and toast all a la carte and it was still reasonably priced. The eggs were cooked exactly right. They also filled our water bottles. Thank you!

I think it will be hit or miss for your experience here. We were thankful they were open at the end of the season. Our choice of menu, burger or alfredo ♀️ Coors light or their last bottle of budlight? It wasn’t the best and wasn’t bad. Thankfully they had a glass of Cab for me I just wouldn’t seek this place out, especially in Oct. Everywhere you stay you can cook, bring your own food if you can! Don’t count on the menu or hours of operation in this town.

I was happy to stop in Cook City to grab some gas and some breakfast, since I had been riding since early morning. I decided to try this Cafe out, since it had a very historic and traditional appearance. The staff were very helpful and seemed like very dedicated workers. Overall it was great, except for the actual food. I’m not too picky about breakfast but this food was very very bland. It didn’t seem like the eggs or the hash browns were seasoned at all. Also, they didn’t have any salsa to help with the situation. It’s not the worst thing in the world, and I was happy to have breakfast. So I ate, paid, and left to hit The Beartooth highway.

Wonderful food! Friendly staff. The pancakes were so good! We loved the bacon and the coffee too. Cute area to eat outside.

The food was actually decent but the place was filthy. The tables weren’t wiped off and the bathroom was disgusting. The women’s restroom was out of order and there was no paper towels or toilet paper in the men’s. The trash was overflowing and the soap dispenser was broken. There was only one waitress so the service was a little slow.

This is such a cute and charming classic Cooke City institution. It’s a great place to go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and you’re always sure to have a great meal and enjoy a delightful atmosphere and breathtaking views. During the summer breakfast is served from 8:00am until 11:00pm, lunch from 11:00am to 5:00pm, and dinner from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. On a nice day you can sit outside and if the weather is not cooperating you can always enjoy the great indoors. Highly recommended.

The wife and I had a great meal on the way the Beartooth. She had the Fettuccine Alfredo and it the nod, which is very rare, so it was fantastic. I did the NY strip & it was amazing! Friendly staff and we sat outside to catch the comings & going.
