I really enjoyed every time I went to The Turf. We played pool and darts, and had a lot of meals and drinks there. It’s right across the road from where I stayed, so it was super convenient.

Yea it’s pretty good. The atmosphere is great, a good dive with exactly what you want, including a single pool table, two dart boards, wood paneling, neon signs, and more. The service is also pretty top notch and they’ll make sure your glass is filled. The front and back of the place are very different from one another and I’m sure this is intentional. Either way a good pit stop or a good place to spend Friday night right by campus. Way better atmosphere than Herd & Horns.

I say too honestly, this is a dive, plain and simple, but… But, being the location that it’s in, this is a great spot, as it’s just down the road from the dome, and practically walking distance, and it’s surrounded by the NDSU die hard bison fan neighborhood. If you want to be surrounded by horny bison fans, this is your gig. Before the game, after the game, who doesn’t have a ticket to see the stampede? The turf IS your ticket. And – let’s not forget the pregame tailgate party; just a little stroll away, you don’t want to miss that! After those libations and while wanderin through the crowd of the herd, cheer on the players heading in and jam out to the rhythm of the horny Bison NDSU marching band, raising a stampede on your way down to the turf. There is no better way to show your color and represent your spirit, even if you got no ticket. Or gear…

Oh! Yo! Be in the know! Get down to the Bison’s home town stompin ground, where the sound of the herd IS-heard pound for pound, all around, their opponents go crumblin down …. Hard knocks that drops the pesky opponents to the ground, be loud ma’-man! This is Bison Turf, -on Bison Land, in Bison country, it’s the Bison Clan.

Was informed that we could not have alcoholic drinks with a minor at our table. We kindly complied and got water and food. We were respectful of her service entirety of dining. When checks were administered, we were the informed that we shouldn’t have been let into the RESTAURANT AND PUB from the beginning and was then quickly treated with hostility and rude comments to us, such as ” she needs these tabs to pay her rent” which is extremely unprofessional to say to your tables as a server. Please make these rules are stated more clear on a sign at the door, or clearly communicated at the very beginning before services begin for the table. This was an extremely unpleasant experience and terrible communication of the facility. Do better Turf.

Bonjour tout le monde

Fargo has been on my bucket list since I watched the movie . I drove around 3.5 hrs (trying very hard not to speed) and this place was one of the few places to be open late, which is strange because it’s on the NDSU campus. In any case, the kitchen closes at 10pm for all those who might wanna come out here in the wee hours of the morning.

It’s basically a campus “bar” or “pub” (depending on which side of the pond you are from!) and happens to have a kitchen. The menu looks awesome, however the ingredients are provided by Sysco – the factory food sourcing & supplying giant. I had the beef brisket and when I asked the server (Nikki?) where the beef was from (she didn’t know) she asked and told me Sysco. Unfortunately, I was mostly done with the meal and couldn’t eat the rest so back it went.

They do have a few nonalcoholic beers. No fancy brands (like we happen to have in QC).

I started to drive back at 10:10pm and was back in YWG by 2:00am-ish.

Fargo has been ✅

Nice bar ,it’s not a place I hang out at but I have never felt awkward going in for a drink or a pizza. There pizza is the bomb, I guess they make them themselves…who knew? Not me but I wish I would have sooner.

The waitress and/or bartender was amazing. Took the time to really spend time to talk explain the menu. We were out town ladies. We were there on Thursday September 19. We don’t remember her name but was amazing

I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to the bartender on the evening of 9/28, he and a patron tried diligently to get me into an uber to get me home safe, and I really appreciate it, therefore I’m also apologizing for being reluctant. I was obliterated, and the bartender did his job flawlessly as I found a video of them trying to explain where my car would be, and whatever. Just thank you for trying, and being a good bartender.
