Disappointed and scammed so I felt after opening my order quesabirria before it needed flavor but the quality was acceptable but this time scammed the quality and flavor is very bad !! Wait 30 min for this what a disappointment to pay 19 dls for this I could go to a food truck it would have been a better option and I would have received the same quality. Does anyone know what happened to this place?

Look at this before and now!

The birria flavor is definitely lacking. We ordered birriamen, quesabirrias, and a sope de asada. The red and green salsas were flavorless, and the birria broth was bland.

This is DEFINITELY the spot to go for birria. With the horchata, I was practically in heaven with how good it tasted. Felt like I was being enlightened by whatever god is out there.

Perfect chips, Birria Quesadilla, Birria fries, California Burrito(shrimp) were just delicious! The portions were big, and tasty. Great flavors and friendly staff, try them now!

Was really looking forward to great quesobirria tacos every since my fav spot El Garage in Richmond closed. The Birria Spot was okay but definitely not up to the standards set by El Garage. Ordered the Quesobirria tacos, 3 to a plate along with the consumme. The tacos were packed with meat and cheese but the flavor was a bit lacking. They barely put cilantro and onions on them which to me adds flavor. I added some salsa from their salsa bar and pickled jalapeño and carrots which made it better. The chips they served at table were horrible (tasted like stale bagged, cheap chips). The consumme was too watery, felt like they watered it down I will give this place another try and try something else next time. My friend had the Birria Ramen and he enjoyed it. Nice spot for Birria just not the best… Still searching for Great Quesobirria! Service just okay, order/pay at counter then seat yourself where they bring your food to. Anything else you need or want, you have to chase down a Worker to ask for.

Oooo the Birra was delicious, tender and juicy. The servings were above what you get at most places. You will not leave hungry.

The plates of food were smaller portions than anticipated for $20 meals. We spent $80 for 3 people compared to $50 total at other restaurants. Other restaurants also have larger portions for the same price. The food was good but it was not hot enough, including the birria sauce which was cooled down by the time it reached our table.

Came in ordered a wet burrito and a coke, 25 bucks. Sat down after 5 minutes I realized the cashier failed to give me chips and salsa. Looked around couldn’t find anyone other than the cook who never made eye contact. I looked around and realized a salsa bar over to the right. Go over and some got little cups of salsa but there were no chips so as I was gathering the little cups on a tray the cashier came out so I asked for chips. I sat down with the tray and out came the chips. Chips were kinda stale cold and tasteless along with the green and red sauces the salsa was good. So I got up to find some napkins and when I sat back down the tray was picked up by a lady ending her shift so I never got to try any of the other items at the salsa bar. When the wet burrito came they served it with plastic forks and knife. It was cold and the flour tortilla was soggy like it had become a paste and tasteless due to the tast less green sauce. The meat was bland there was nothing to write home about this place. It is unfortunate because the location is next to a high traffic road and with little effort this place could be rocking. The coke was fantastic. Maybe invest in some spices and enthusiasm!

Had to try this new taco place because who can say no to birria?? This place took over the old American Canyon Cafe, and, while I still mourn the loss of the great breakfast diner, it looks like The Birria Spot is a pretty amazing replacement already!

The pollo and asada tacos as were well made, seasoned and tasty! The birria tacos as well birria fries were yummy and not as oily as other places. What I especially liked about the birria tacos was the tortilla. It was crispy on the outside but fluffy/poofy inside, so it took in the consomme really well. Also, ohhh, that creamy strawberry agua fresca… it’s like a childhood candy!

Needless to say, I’ll be back again to try more on their menu. Definitely a great addition to our selection of taco spots

The food was served cold, and the birria with shrimp had very few shrimp. The price was fair, but the portions were small. The environment isn’t family-friendly — the music was vulgar with a lot of profanity, not suitable if you’re bringing kids.
The best part was the service: Melanie was excellent, very kind and attentive. Hopefully, they improve the food quality and overall atmosphere.
