Horrible experience. We called ahead because we were a big party (15) passing through. There were no other customers in the restaurant, which should have worked in our favor and it did not. We waited nearly 30 minutes before our orders were taken. Its been 2 hours sitting in the restaurant and only some of our party has received their food. “Shakes” came out as just chocolate milk. Chicken fingers were somehow burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. Wish i could give a review for my food but I ended up canceling my order and walking out.

Locals were there in droves, that was my first sign. I was rewarded with great atmosphere and service! I was there for breakfast and kept it simple, it came out timely and was cooked perfect. My coffee never got cold and if you don’t want to look at your phone, the walls are full of interesting things! I will go out of my way to eat here in the future!

A cute,quirky little restaurant we found by accident. Downtown Bird City. This was the only restaurant open for miles.
The owner was working, and a great story teller. The restaurant is like a museum, with all its art work and memorabilia.
Food was excellent. Service was very good.

This past October, I ate breakfast here.
The best breakfast I’ve ever had in Kansas (that’s saying A LOT).
As well, surprisingly cheap!
Also, great, friendly staff, in a genuine manner of speak.

The people were very nice, but the fish and chips was poor .
The staff responded to this review and I have been able to give more feedback until now. The crust on the fish was almost burnt, but the fish was still not quite cooked. The onion rings were ok, but still the batter was over cooked too.
