The Bird is about a 10 minute drive, around 5 miles south of Jackson city center. The place is okay, not bad and not great. What makes it stand out is the price. It is cheaper compared to other restaurants in Jackson and the serving portions are big, so if you are looking for affordable meals this is your place.
We ordered garlic Parmesan wings and the sauce was really good but the chicken itself was dry, probably overcooked. We also ordered a burger medium but it came out more done than expected. The fries were pretty good though.
This place is kid friendly and wheelchair accessible. You find your own seat where you feel comfortable and they will serve you after. Overall it is a decent spot if you want big servings and good prices, but the food quality was just okay.

Salt & Story
We were told this was the best burger in town, didn’t realize it came with bad service. We sat down and the waitress brought us menus. Ordered two burgers and a drink. Patiently waited, no one checks in with you. Way too many people for only two servers. No wonder they didn’t care to chat nor be extra polite or helpful. Our food was great it was the best burger I’ve had in a minute but please get more help or encourage the servers to be more welcoming. We also waited 20+ to pay because our server disappeared :/

EAT HERE. We came on a whim and boy am I glad we did. The service was so fun and friendly, the food was out of this world. The view out on the deck was stunning and added greatly to the ambiance. My husband got lemon pepper wings and the flavor that permeated through the entire wing was insane. Literally picked the bones clean. I got the works burger and it did not disappoint. Portions aside (even tho it was MASSIVE) the FLAVOR and the way that all the flavors melted together… 10/10. My husband and I will be coming back for sure. You should also totally check out this slightly out of the way gem of a burger joint.

Dog friendly on their deck with beautiful outdoor views. Great foods. The buffalo hot wing sauce was amazing! We also had the Philly and French dip were equally as great. Not in the middle of Jackson so easier to get in

Wow! This place is absolutely delicious! A friend from Idaho Falls recommended it to us, and it did not disappoint. The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. I had the Queso Queen, and it was packed with bold taste and the perfect crunch. My husband ordered the Big Crack and loved it, he highly recommends it too!
We got both chips and fries as sides, and they were equally tasty.
The staff was super friendly, and the back patio is dog-friendly, which we really appreciated. Just a heads-up: there’s no shade back there, so plan accordingly if you’re dining outside.

The wings? CRISPY. SAUCY. JUICY. Like they were kissed by a buffalo and baptized in a volcano. And when they say “hot buffalo,” they don’t mean midwestern spicy, they mean call-your-mom-and-apologize hot.
Now the burger. Oh man. This thing strutted out of the kitchen like it knew it was the Beyoncé of beef. Perfectly cooked, juicy inside, seared outside, stacked with so much flavor it felt personal. I’d put it up against a Michelin-starred dish and still keep both kidneys.
The staff? Absolute legends. Zipping around like caffeinated angels, dropping food and beer with the speed of light. Raise their pay. Knight them!
TLDR: I would move here. Sell my house. Enroll my kids in the local school. Tell my dog we’re starting a new life. Just to eat these wings and burgers every day.

I love the casual and fun vibe of this restaurant. Great menu. Everything sounded amazing and I loved the queso dip appetizer and Reuben sandwich. The Cabo Greg is my favorite burger. The flavors were outstanding. The service is always friendly and helpful. I recommend sitting on the deck where the view is hard to beat.
