Had the best breakfast there. The service was great, coffee was full and hot, and the food…wow. Fresh, flavorful, clearly made with love. I’ve been here lots and would have everything on the menu, but the Hot Mess is a favorite for sure.

I came in and ordered two desserts to go because this place was supposed to have great dessert. I ordered an apple crisp, which is the worst I’ve ever had. The apples were hard and not cooked. Didn’t have much flavor. I also ordered some kind of a strawberry cake which was old and dry. To the point that the bottom was like cardboard, and it was quite tasteless. I called to let them know the cake was old and not edible and their response was “oh I’m sorry about that “. They may have good food here, but the desserts are terrible.

Great service, yummy food, cool space. I recommend coming here. I will be coming back for more soon. My only sad thing was my biscuit was not great, very surprising but everything else was incredible.

We got here at open on a weekday and was seated immediately…FYI, it’s located on the second floor. Service was prompt and friendly with a knowledgeable waitress. I had a regular old coffee which was good and the food was very tasty.
The place did fill up pretty quick after we had already been seated and I believe there is rooftop seating which they were not utilizing on the morning we went, it was pretty cold outside. The menu isn’t huge but it has good selection. Also, there is a bar here as well.
We would definitely go here again if ever returning to Salida.

Wonderful clean establishment.
All employee’s were cheerful and helpful.
We went for breakfast right at opening and they were ready to go.
We had The Boss and French Toast.
Be sure to try the Pineapple Mango and fennel drink.
Glad we chose them this morning….

We arrived around 10:30 am on a Sunday and had to wait 30-40 min for a table for two – it was worth every minute of that wait! Food is very innovative and creative – extremely flavorful and delicious! I had the Biker Bennie, hubs had the Boss – the best! Would highly recommend!

Located in the heart of downtown, this spot has incredibly friendly service to compliment the breathtaking views. A photo here just wouldn’t do it justice. To enter, you’ll walk up a set of stairs (not wheelchair accessible) to the first section of seating as well as the bar and pastries display. We came in around 4pm for drinks and small bites off of the dinner menu. The drinks were well crafted, and their wine selection has something for everyone. The food was delicious, but it is a little disappointing when you have a distaste for blue cheese and there are no substitutions for charcuterie boards. For a group of 3 of us, two rounds of drinks and the food shown was about $45 each before tip. I wish I had more time during my visit to try some desserts, and will come back for the full experience.

Recently stopped by for breakfast on our way out of the area (our hotel recommended this place) and W O W what a great experience! The Biker and The Baker is above Sweetie’s and the decor and vibes were very eclectic and fun. We had a table by a window overlooking the street and the river nearby. My fiancé and I split the Hurricane Ditka burrito and a chocolate croissant, he also got a latte and I had the Bailey’s Coffee. Everything was excellent, but the chocolate croissant was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was served slightly warm and it was truly perfect! We loved this place and would definitely come back again! Service was great, too – friendly and attentive, just the right balance of checking in and giving us time to enjoy our meal.

Stopped in on a Sunday drive. We would definitely make the 2 hour drive again!

A short wait but in no rush. We were seated at a window table and drinks taken quickly.

The coffee was definitely in the wake you up strong zone. And the pastries in the case on the way in looked Devine. Tip…pick any pastries right away as they sell fast. I picked a pink macaroon and almond chocolate scone. Good scones are so hard to find. The macaroon was chewy and silky melty all in one.

I did the Biker Benedict, and hubby did the Monster burrito. I did not try his burrito as while I love spicy, I am a spice weakling. Even tho our server said the biker Benedict wasn’t spicy if you are super sensitive to spice, it might be too much, but it was just right for me.

A touch of heat made the dish pop. I have to admit I was worried about the dill holindaise sauce, but it worked. It was served on polenta cakes, which were crispy and soft, the eggs perfectly poached. Hubby loved the spice of his burrito, and it was the perfect portion size.

It was a bit tight for the indoor tables but so cute and cozy. They also have tables outside on the 3rd level.

I saw the plates for other tables pass by us, and they all looked amazing!

We can’t wait to hop back in!!

Went here based on the reviews because we wanted to have a good breakfast. We are somewhat disappointed. Pretty pricy, 2 people and it was over $50.00 plus tip. We did order some extra bacon, hash browns, and one egg.
Service was excellent, staff was very nice and friendly, cool location, and the atmosphere was cool. Lot of stairs, fyi for someone that can not do stairs. Biscuits and gravy looked good but, the biscuits were very crumbly, and not a lot of gravy. Had to use the hot sauce for more flavor. I am sure I could have asked for more gravy but, was afraid to get charged for more gravy. One of my favorites but I have had hotel biscuits and gravy that was better. The other food was good. The bacon had good flavor but, not all was cooked all the way through. I know we could have probably sent it back to be cooked but we’re in a hurry and when you order crispy bacon from the start, you should not have to send it back. Just my opinion
