First key didn’t work to the room.. next one did.. got back from a ride sxs with food to go from another place and couldn’t get into our room. Went to front desk and called many times and after a half hour someone finally showed up..was accused by the bartender I was intoxicated but I don’t drink, no manager on site either….I will not ever stay here ever again

We always love stopping here on the way to Minnesota to take a picture with the Big Orange Moose! Good place to stop for gas and food too! Taco John’s and Subway here.

Cute place to stop for photos/getting out of the car to stretch legs. Park / pond area was a bit sad with the trash all over the ground, big parking lot, fun attraction!

Had a great time here drinking beer and eating cheese curds. Tried to stop in again but we were too early. Great place right off of the interstate, friendly people.

We were only there for the breakfast, but really wished that we weren’t too sleepy to have spent some time in the bar the night before. Such a nice looking, inviting, and clean space. If you stay at this place, save some time to visit the orange moose!

A Phoenix rising from the ashes of the pandemic. That’s how I’d describe the Orange Moose Bar & Grill. About a dozen years ago the wife and I decided that instead of buying a Northwoods cabin, we’d patronize a host that could deliver the experience with fidelity. A handful of times annually in the intervening years the Orange Moose and It’s associated hotel have served that function. We’ve seen many changes at the Moose over the years, many during the trying days of the pandemic.

While the overall trend has been toward reduced hours and services, I’m delighted to see the flicker of new life in the Orange Moose. This weekend we attended their New Years Eve party, which was well-planned, and provided to the opportunity to stay off the road on amateur night as we were able simply to walk to our room. The menu at the bar included their usual staples of pizza and fryer food, which was augmented with the daily specials of pulled pork or chicken, which was great to see. Other recent efforts include free pool night, and a forthcoming go at bingo Sundays.

All told, the Orange Moose Bar & Grill is on the path to returning to its storied past – transitioning from its pandemic role as an amenity exclusively for hotel guest – to its former broader command as an attraction that drew the community and passers by alike to its shining beacon.

Great little restaurant! Burgers are phenomenal, cooked to perfection, juicy, full of flavor. Salad bar had a great variety of quality toppings. Friendly staff, but limited seating. Definitely worth the stop.

I Never give a bad review but this was truly a bad experience. The waitress was way too chatty. Any interaction with her took 5 times longer than it should have. She also brought the food to the table and said she didn’t know where or how to get guacamole for my build your own but she would look. She answered two phone calls again very long winded and came back to the table. We asked again for the guacamole and she said oh yes I’ll check. She came back empty handed by then my burger was cold. My burger was also too charred and well done which I told her. She did nothing about it but said the cook was new. Service and food were both terrible. We will not be returning.

This is my first review. Ever.
I will say that when my wife ordered her steak VERY well done that they did bring it out very well done, this doesn’t happen very often. It wasn’t very well seasoned but was cooked to order.
My burger I ordered well done, I have pictures it was bleeding. It took so long to get our food (we were there just shy of 2 hours) that I ate what I could stand and left the rest. I didn’t complain, no amount of free food or money back would get me back there so it was pointless.

The appetizer sample platter was hit and miss. Cheese curds great, motz sticks great, the buffalo moose wings were plain cold. Not a cold like they sat out for a while but a cold like they pressed the wrong button on the microwave.

This place is unusual and has potential, needs Robert Irvine to come in and school the owners. Please don’t blame the wait staff, they did the best they could.
