Had lunch here with our campers from Onaway. Restaurant overlooks water and a small beach. It get pack quick. The seafood baskets were good. Kids enjoyed mock strawberry daiquiri’s. We ordered a lobster roll and was a little disappointed we were given the option of butter or mayo. Overall we enjoyed our lunch and waitstaff.

Very cute little shop right on the water and has a beautiful view. Extremely busy. Local spot. When you get the write your name on the chalk board, or everyone will skip you if you didn’t know this. But the food was incredible. Fisherman platter was substantial and delicious. Drinks were fun.

On the suggestion of a friend, we tried The Big Catch in Bristol tonight. Right on Newfound Lake with beautiful views. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the parking areas were nearly full and cars circling the building to find a spot. The Margaritas were great, the calamari cooked perfectly and the broiled seafood platter (with garlic butter) was amazing. It did come with fried whole belly clams (that was a nice surprise). We finished with homemade key lime pie which was tart and delicious. Our server Brittany did a great job even as we got relocated out of a surprise downpour and inside the restaurant. We love this area and will definitely be back.

As faithful customers of The Big Catch, we eagerly await when it opens, and hate to see it close for the season. Dining there regularly, we love eating on the deck enjoying scallop baskets and chicken philly sandwiches. Both, incredible values and great meals. The staff is very friendly, hard working, and the drinks are terrific. Give them a try and you’ll be “hooked “.

Allison is the Worst Bartender/Server I have experienced in over 30 years, and this is coming from someone who worked in the restaurant business for over 40 years. When me and my friends came in and sat at the bar, she ignored for over 15 minutes while she texted on her phone. She was visible mad when we got her attention. She comes across very angry and a very mean to the individuals she is serving. Otherwise, the place is Awesome! Great place to have a drink and grab a bite while out on the Lake -I will be back! As long as Allison isn’t working…
