We had a lovely dinner at The Big Bowl. The smoked salmon summer roll was delicious and we ordered the Big Bowl pho and the Hanoi Rump Steak pho both of which were so tasty. Staff were lovely too – highly recommend!

I’ve been wanting to try The Big Bowl for ages and finally got round to booking a table for a pre-birthday celebration. The restaurant is small but had a great atmosphere – service is super friendly.
The pho, arguably the best broth I have enjoyed! It was so flavourful, deep and delicious and warming. It’s everything you want in a bowl of noodles. I chose the beef marrow and short rib and the meat was so tender, the bone slipped off without resistance! Everything about the food was simply fresh and delicious!
I will be back for more slurping soon!

In a street filled with restaurants, which one would you choose?
So my housemate recommended we eat here.
We were starving and our order was going to take about 30 minutes.
The wait was worth it.
So we ordered grilled pork steak. It is saigon style chargrilled pork steaks. I can taste a hint of lemongrass that adds freshness contrasting the smokey flavors of the steak. It was served with its own nuoc mam dipping sauce which is a combination of sweet sour spicy salty and savoury flavours.
We also shared a bowl of their house special Beef Tendon – it is rice noodles in lemongrass soup with a hot and spicy beef broth, slow cooked beef, sliced short ribs and tendons. Texture play was there. The broth was clear, clean, beefy, herby and comforting.
We also had the Ca Phe Muoi (Vietnamese salted coffee) – oh so perfect and refreshing. It was creamy and sweet and then a little bit of saltiness hits your tastebuds.
Yes they accept credit cards and they have a loo.

Unsure if it was a bad night as we chose restaurant for good reviews. Everything was really awful. Curry was a cheap knock off sauce, nothing authentic – tastes like a mass produced version. Beef pho was awful. We regularly get Vietnamese and this was truly to be avoided.

Food was amazing! We had the House Special with beef tendon and the meat was so tender and the broth was very delicious and comforting. Chicken wings were flavourful and spring rolls were very yummy! Nice little gem – would definitely recommend 🙂

It was unexpectedly good and we love the Hanoi steak pho, house specials beef, combo bun and curry rice. It was so good and flavourful. The staffs are really nice and helpful to make sure we are comfortable. They are having lunch deals from certain days 12pm-2pm and some dishes cost only £10. So it’s a really good deal

Really lovely experience. Our server was thoughtful and bubbly! And the food delish and flavourful. I didn’t want the mushrooms, and she came back and offered to substitute it for anything else of my choice, just going the extra mile to improve customer service! Decor is really aesthetic and modern. The bathrooms were really clean and modern. Really highly recommend.

Vietnamese is one of favorite cuisines and The Big Bowl did not disappoint! Had some wings and shared the prawn salad to start. Both very good. They do the salad without Peanut which was ace for our.group with nut allergy. The Big Bowl main of Beef pho has that clear tasty broth, well cooked noodles and fresh beansprouts and chili sides. Hanoi and Saigon beers available too. Top marks. Clean facilities too, with attentive service. Prices competitive too.
