The food was excellent. Best New England clam chowder I have ever had. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was quiet and very pretty. The prices were less than expected for such great quality.

On a whim and due to massive hunger, my girlfriend and I booked a reservation for dinner.

Yes, as others have written, the place has an older interior, but it is eclectic.

Gianna took care of us. She was kind and prompt.

My gin martini was great but my girlfriend ordered their apple tini. Instead, she received a sour apple tini, which she hates. However, she was not in the mood to return it.

I started with their absolutely incredible New England clam chowder. Peppery and creamy, the chowder came with bacon and onion. This is the best chowder I have had since Charcuterie in Stroudsburg.

My girlfriend loved her salad as well as her giant chicken parmigiana. I ordered the queen cut of their prime rib with shrimp, including mashed potatoes and green beans. It was excellent. However, they added some sugar to the shrimp, which was horrific. I never imagined something like that happening. I also did not realize until right now that I had been charged for the king cut.

We shared their homemade tiramisu. This was dense and creamy and the lady fingers had been dipped in perfect espresso.

Other than holes in my cloth napkin, cobwebs in the corner, and some food and beverage issues, we will give Big A another try.

Thanksgiving was ruined by new owner’s incompetence. There was no food to feed these families that made reservations but they still charged $50 a person plus gratuity for a non existent waiter. How do you run a restaurant but not have the food to feed the people. I’d would stay far away from the new owners.

We were there at an odd time of day. Not lunch not dinner. We were the only people in the place.
The food was good. A bit over priced, but most resturants are these days.

The service was excellent. Server was very attentive, checking g in on us regularly.

My wife really enjoyed the Queen cut of Prime Rib. I had the hamburger which was also delicious.

I recommend this place, but will likely only go on special occasions because of the price.

I had a great kings cut prime rib. Perfectly seasoned didn’t need anything else. My wife had veal milanese too much breading to get to the veal. The lobster bisque was too salty. Dessert was very good the tiramasu and the lava cake. Casual dining quiet spent around $160 for two including tip.

Not even worth a star. Sat us after 5 minutes just waiting without acknowledgement even though it was not full at all. We were not acknowledged until almost half hour later BUT ONLY BECAUSE I ASKED IF SOMEONE WAS GOING TO SERVE US. Mind you, they totaled out the table right next to us a few minutes after we were seated so they knew we were there. The room was absolutely freezing, no heat. I ordered and immediately he says, we just sold out of chicken. This is a Saturday night. We order steaks and I can’t even describe what came out. A TV dinner tastes better than what we were served but I asked for steak sauce and ketchup to try to at least try to stomach it. Ten minutes later, he gives me some ketchup packets and says he’s looking for steak sauce. I also ask why the sweet potato came out without the butter. He says they don’t do anything to the potatoes and I respond but in the menu it says sweet potato with cinnamon butter… that’s all I’m asking for. We attempted to eat the steak which tasted like it was boiled in water but it was just so bad that we finally gave up because we were legitimately worried about ruining our stomachs. We asked for the check and to have the onions that never even came out removed. The waiter charged for one meal as even he knew how horrible everything was. In all honesty, we should have just walked out. It was a nightmare experience from beginning to end. Horrible service, freezing cold, the cook must have run away and a sub came in, no chicken to be found and what was with the Christmas decorations in February? Please save yourselves and yes, as the waiter said, he was sorry for ruining my birthday. Just don’t do it.

It is a classic, unique restaurant. The wife and I stopped for our first visit. She had the veal parm, and I had scallops and shrimp. The entrees were delicious, but the strawberry cheesecake was the highlight for me.

I attended a daytime celebration event at this venue , the ambiance was nice, I was able to observe the other dining rooms, they had a rustic country feel, cozy and welcoming. We did not have food off the menu but we did have a Italian style buffet for our event, the food was delicious and plentiful. Many of the guest did have to go to the bar if they wanted any alcoholic drinks. Definitely would recommend this venue if you want to have a sit down celebration.

When a place has good bread I usually anticipate a great meal and I wasn’t wrong. I loved everything about this place. Thick, hearty soup… And some delicious shrimp as an appetizer. I couldn’t even finish my entree. I also loved the charm of the old decor. Service was very comforting and inviting. I’ll definitely go back.

The food was great and cooked well, it seemed like everything was freshly made. Which takes work so freaking long. So that’s appreciated. It is old looking and smelling but the service is great and they are attentive. I’m not sure how they are when they are busy but there was at least 3 other groups there. The desert was absolutely amazing.
