Along with Guinness & Lefthand Milkstout & American craft ales like Reef Donkey and Bell’s Two-Hearted. Can’t decide? We offer flites! We also have plenty of Belgian bottles. Stopped in for lunch after reading all the great reviews. No one else in the place but us the whole time. Service was great and very friendly. Nice selection of Belgian beers. Quite tasty and perfect temperature. A tad pricey though for the pour. Pretzel app was very good and piping hot. Our lunches were very tasty and served promptly. 3 beers, app, 2 lunch sandwiches and tip $87. #stevensleavin

The food was great! I love when you can tell the chef puts their love into their work! Good pretzels and hot, fresh homemade French onion soup. Their waffle combinations are unique and creative. Was very good. Will definitely be back to try some other items on their menu.

A friend of mine and I stopped in here by pure chance and we were exceedingly happy that we did. Of course, the Belgian beer was great. But, what surprised us the most, the food we had was superb. Meatballs and french onion soup,… God they were great. Service was really good also. We will definitely be going back.

The food was delicious. The beer selection wasn’t huge, but that doesn’t matter cause it was good (I might be biased though as I really like good Belgian beer). The atmosphere was nice. We happened to go on Monday and they have music bingo on Mondays. It was a LOT of fun. I will be making a point to go here when I’m back in the area.

What a great find for lunch in downtown Punta Gorda. I came in for Kate lunch-not many folks inside but started getting busier few minutes later. I sat in the bar, Lori, the bartender, was a sweetheart and had a great personality. She gave me great suggestions as far as good , and was a lovely conversationalist. I ended up having Belgian meatballs served in a crock with apple and pear and Belgian Amber beer accompanied by one of my favs , Delirium Tremens (on tap). Omg I’m in love w these meatballs now. For main , I ended up ordering the Belgian Waffle club platter accompanied w Delirium Nocturnum..soooo delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try other things on the menu.

Stopped in for a late lunch on a Tuesday afternoon in late October. Shellie, our server was very friendly knowledge of both the beer and food menu. Great selection of Belgium beers and a menu that is unique. I ordered the
Classic Belgian Kebap – A mixture of sliced Beef and Lamb served in toasted Turkish bread with lettuce, tomato, onion and our homemade yogurt sauce. I must say it was delicious . The Belgium Monk is a must stop in the Punta Gorda area. During our visit, it was not busy and had the pleasure of meeting Ken. We had the pleasure of talking to Ken and Shellie for quite a while, exchanging some pretty good stories back and forth. Not pictured but also ordered from my group were the Belgian Meatballs – Handcrafted from Beef, Pork and Lamb with Romano and Ricotta Cheeses, drowned in an Apple and Pear (sirop de liege) sauce with Grimbergen Double Amber Beer. (Three meatballs with waffle fries) and the Belgian Sliders- Meatball – Our handcrafted Belgian meatballs on ciabatta bread served with Sirop de Liege sauce and Belgian frites.
All the food was cooked fresh and was delicious. Beer was cold, with the vast majority of beers on their menu on tap. When in Punta Gorda, I’ve often passed by, but never stopped in. Will definitely be adding this into the mix. Have heard great things about the French onion soup, but did not have the room for it this time. Will definitely stop in again for the soup next time I’m in the area.
Other cool thing was there were pinball machines and darts. Did not really take full advantage of either, but did manage to play a quick game of pinball on a Rescue 911 Pinball game….

Super nice and helpful staff. Our first visit and they give great suggestions for food and drink. Samples of on tap beer. Their waffle maker was broken but they let us know right away and had great alternatives. We will be back! Don’t be worried if the lot looks full. Plenty of seats inside.

After a day of running around, and driving past this place for the last five years or so, me and my family decided to stop in. And my goodness we should have been years ago. The staff and people are so nice,we came on a sunday so football was on. It is small but the food makes up for it. I ordered a chicago dog and fries, and the monk bites and it was all so good. I loved the bites the were so melty in my mouth just wonderful ,everything was cooked to perfection. I also lbe the newspaper clipings they use for food liners very nice.I will definitely be returning again with friends.

So happy we gave this place a shot! The beers on tap are great, the menu is perfect for a small European bar, and it’s not a smoky atmosphere. We will definitely be making this place our regular hang out.
