Social Profile:

Blue Heron Farm is a small scale, humane and thoughtful goat dairy, owned and operated by Christian and Lisa Seger, two city-kids turned farmers. We make and sell farmstead cheeses, cajeta and more. The beer garden features a variety of beers, wine, and hard seltzers, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. We also have a small snack menu that includes products from our farm and others. No dogs allowed in the beer garden.

It’s a rustic rural beer garden, serves wine, and goat cheese (while it lasts), but the baby goats are the show stealers! Hold a goat, pet a goat, and just relax.

Back for another visit, but this time it was Baby Goat season!! We had a blast snuggling with the goats, and enjoying our freshly made goat milk snacks! The cider was my favorite, while the hubby enjoyed a cold beer. The owners are lovely and fun to chat with. We hung out for a few hours, but will be back again!

We found a great little place that just opened this weekend. Their goat cheese is amazing! You can grab a drink, snack, and pet goats too.

Rather conflicted if I should give a review, last thing I want is this hidden gem got too popular because it truly is a hidden gem! It’s Houston’s very own ‘Jeremy Clarkson’s farm’
Amazing place to hang out, have a drink and let the kids roam freely like the goats! It’s impossible not to love this place for its kind owners and atmosphere that is a rare find in Houston.
If you’re hungry, the BBQ place across the road is delicious and you can bring food over to the beer garden.

I mean, craft beer with loveable goats: what’s not to love?
.
There is little announcement where the entrance is, but it is on the east end of the property. Pull in, drive over uneven ground, and park near the obvious entrance. Then latch the gate behind you and let the goat love begin.
.
There was a couple already there when we arrived. They each had a baby goat (a kid) on their laps. Clearly, this was special.
.
We wandered up to the bar (a modified shipping container) and selected from their list. The cans were ice cold, which wouldn’t last in the heat. Pro tip: bring coozies.
.
The baby goats were adorable. They loved attention and climbing on us. They also loved nibbling on everything, so be prepared. The experience was wonderful.
.
We eventually visited the older goats in the field. They loved the attention too. So good. Bring bug spray so you don’t have to worry about chiggers. Also, bring sturdy shoes because this is a field, not a lawn.
.
We also got to see Jeremy the tortoise. He’s a tortoise!
.
Just a note that they have no food, not you can bring your own. We stopped at Buccee’s and brought BBQ sammiches. It was excellent, although the goats and the farm dog were attracted. Lol
.
Quality experience, for sure.

Wonderful place to hang out, with or without the children; this is the kind of local business that’s important to support.

The owners, Chris and Lisa, are phenomenal and have cultivated quite the consistent and wholesome experience.

I assure you that in this economy, you will never feel disappointed settling your tab – because the prices are more than reasonable, and this is the kind of place those consumer dollars should be spent – not “Chilis” or what have you

Check it out! You might enjoy noticing just what you’ve been missing 🙂

Always a great time hanging with the goats and other four legged friends, eating some cheese and crackers while having a refreshing beverage. Seeing the people here is a ton of fun too!
