If You are visiting the Zoo you will find The Beastro.
We had the Pizza and Mac and Cheese, let me tell you, the pizza was incredible, I personally didn’t think I was going to find good Pizza and I have to admit, it surprised me and my family. So if you are hungry be assured you will get good Pizza at this location.

Dang son the chef special garbage fries were fire. This was the first time ever eating at the zoo in my entire 35 years of living in Utah. Normally I would just bring a sack lunch or snacks to the zoo. I now feel accomplished in my life. The selection is limited but the standard family fare is good. The idea of buying a whole pizza and chilling at the zoo is awesome, no cap.

My favorite place to eat at the zoo. They have daily specials that change. They have good fries and my favorite is their Mac and cheese! The service is usually quick and there is a lot of seating.

They have ice cream which was great for a HANGRY toddler,
Great service even if the two men at the ice cream were maybe 14-16 years old they handled that station like a boss.
Lovely windows inside it’s super clean nice selection more than I expected. The windows are nice as well.
There’s also an atm and plenty of room for stroller.

Ate here today. This is a convenient spot to enjoy a quick bite when exploring the zoo. The food was hot and tasty. The various snacks are great as well. I highly recommend if you want a convenient snack or a quick lunch.

I try to stop by the local zoo when I visit a city, this place is connected to the Hogle Zoo. This was the first meal I had in Salt Lake City. They give you plenty of chicken strips with your meal, two is plenty. The food was very tasty, made fresh and hot when I ordered. There was BBQ, ranch, ketchup and mustard for dipping. They also had huge cookies, fresh fruit, pizza, hamburgers and other items. I nice place to stop by for a quick bite and refuel for your zoo visit. Plenty of windows to look outside and make the place bright.

Would give 0 stars if I could. We came in (group of 11, including two kids under 2) and ordered pizza. We began to feed our two little ones watermelon, because it was VERY hot outside and they needed to eat. We were approached by a worker telling us no outside food was allowed unless we go outside. We respected his wishes, and put our food away. He then went over to three other staff members and began to talk amongst themselves while staring and pointing at us. We were then approached by a busser who said “were you guys the ones with the outside food?” Which felt extremely redundant given we put away our food and were just waiting for our pizza we ordered. We said yes and then he just walked away. Why was that even necessary? By this point, many employees were still staring at us and other tables had begun to as well. So we left. Our infants aren’t gonna be eating slices of pizza.We still respected their no outside food rule, even though we know our little ones needed to eat as they had been out in the high heat for a couple hours. Even still, the stares, pointing, and unnecessary “were you the ones with the outside food?” really ruined our entire experience. We enjoyed the zoo. We love the zoo. But this situation at the Beastro was very frustrating. One of our group spoke to guest services about our experience, and they agreed the staff shouldn’t have done that, and validated our frustrations. Big shout out to the guest services staff, as well as the rest of our zoo experience. But NOT the Beastro. Again, I would give the Beastro 0 stars after this experience.

We love the Hogle Zoo and are always impressed by the quality of food and the service! Everyone has been kind and helpful, and we always enjoy our meals! Our favorite place to visit, and we enjoy a sit down lunch every time.

They know they can charge high prices and they really don’t shy away from it. The portions are decent, I recommend sharing meals to save money. The lines are long and the floor is super dirty. Staff was polite for the most part.

AWEFUL!! Food is Disgusting! My daughter threw up afterward and my other child refused to eat after a few bites. I ends up throwing most of my meal away. Highly doubt they are up to code.
