I had an incredible experience during my stay at the Bearded Bean. From the moment I walked in, the front staff made me feel genuinely welcomed—their politeness and attention to customer care truly stood out. They were friendly, patient, and seemed very passionate about the coffee they make, they really take pride in making sure everyone felt comfortable and taken care of. On top of that, the Cuban food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every meal felt like it was crafted with both quality and creativity in mind. It’s rare to find a place in tocca where both the service and the food leave such a lasting impression, but the Bearded Bean absolutely nailed it. Will be here again.

Hidden Cuban spot I did not know Toccoa had. Definitely a must try. You would have never known by the name. I ordered a croqueta preparada sandwich and a Cuban. As well 5 different pastries. The Cuban sandwich was delicious unfortunately the person that took our order on Friday made a mistake so I couldn’t taste the croqueta sandwich he put in 2 Cubans instead. I told him it was fine that I would eat it anyway. But I was truly craving the croqueta. I have a lot of Cuban family and I miss the food a lot. So I will have to return. The pastries were delicious the guava and cheese I am very picky when it comes to those and it was delicious I also tried the cheese one, Apple empanada,Nutella, vanilla custard. All were delicious even though I had them at night and the next day and they still were worth it. I’ll have to come back for the croquetas. The restaurant is small and cozy. The fries were cooked perfectly and had the perfect crunch and tasted fresh.

So this was our first visit but will NOT be our last. We had an app sampling of fresh, fun, and flavorful plantains and yucca fries with delicious dip. My server was attentive and knowledgeable with great recommendations.
The the main course of soft succulent ribs and tender, juicy creamy chicken pichata. Mock tails offered fun flavors that brought excitement.
Dessert, YES we did that too. Ready and ripe strawberry cake that was the perfect way to end the night with strawberries filling the layers with deliciously moist cake. Then my love got me a white mocha raspberry latte. Oh my..but the best part about the night was the exuberant owner George. He has passion for food and new friends. He was warm and inviting that made you feel welcome. He checked on us, laughed with us, and shook our hands. We feel like friends. Go give it a try. We will be back.

This restaurant is amazing! The service is great, food is delicious and it is CLEAN (spotless tables, bathrooms).
You can tell how much effort goes into each detail of this restaurant.
We went here before our morning chasing waterfalls at Brasstown and appreciate that it was open early.
I would suggest a visual menu/top favorites at the register as some of the vocabulary is more unique (croqueta/ Cuban toast).
Another recommendation is to have a substitute for breakfast side potato.
Regardless, highly suggest trying this place and I will definitely be back.

Best coffee house in the area! They have sweet or savory pastries that are amazing! Flaky and delicious! Other breakfast options too! I had eggs over easy with a choice of meats and sides.
Their lunch menu offers Cuban sandwiches, bowls, and meals. Amazing flavors, nothing spicy unless you ask for it.
When visiting Toccoa, GA area or Toccoa Falls, The Bearded Bean is a must stop coffee, breakfast & lunch destination!

Fantastic place to eat. Wonderful atmosphere. Loving family owns it and has re-created the restaurant from an old office. It feels amazing. George and his family have done a great job and the food is out of this world!

I’m upset I didn’t try this place sooner. So good!! The sandwiches we got were delicious, and the coffee i ordered was amazing. I also got a pastelito (which I had never heard of before); had the guava and cheese one and that was my favorite thing. Im definitely excited to try more. Service was so good, and they brought me a water that I never asked for when bringing the food. So thoughtful I didn’t even realize I needed it until I had it The place is also gorgeous
