They roast their beans daily, and you can really taste the freshness in every cup. The coffee is consistently excellent, and the prices are very reasonable, which makes it even better.
The service is always amazing—friendly, welcoming, and the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again.
They also offer great food options, including healthy smoothies and delicious egg sandwiches. I really appreciate that they have gluten-free bread and Dave’s Killer Bread if you’re looking for something on the healthier side.
If you’re in Cheshire and love fresh coffee, great service, and reasonable prices, this place is a must.
The coffee was enjoyed black, as it ought to be. Clean, well roasted, and honest. No need for embellishment when the fundamentals are sound. A cup like this stands on its own and asks nothing more of you than a moment of attention.
What made the stop especially satisfying was the reminder of why local roasters matter. There is a quiet relief in knowing you do not have to default to Starbucks, particularly when visiting out of town. Places like The Bean give you an alternative that feels intentional rather than automatic.
Whenever I travel, I make a point to seek out local spots like this. Not out of principle, but out of experience. They tend to care more, and it shows in the cup.
Unfortunately, the drink was disappointing. I ordered a caramel macchiato with an extra shot of espresso and was told they don’t make macchiatos and that a latte is basically the same. The drink came out very quickly and tasted watered down, with little to no coffee or caramel flavor. I went back to ask for more caramel just to have some flavor, but it still didn’t improve. While I was at the counter, I noticed the owner was there and mentioned that it was my first time visiting and complimented how beautiful the shop was.
Since it was my first visit and the owner witnessed the interaction, I was hoping she might check in, ask what I thought, or suggest a better alternative — especially given how different a macchiato is from a latte. I wasn’t trying to be difficult; I just prefer strong coffee. The shop has a lot of potential, but better guidance and drink consistency would really improve the experience.
They have yummy delicious treats, A variety of different smoothies and of course living up to their name freshly roasted freshly brewed coffee.
I had one of their egg sandwiches with avocado on gluten-free bread and it was absolutely delicious.
Tara the owner is such a sweetheart so if you have a coffee date. Networking or a zoom call. I highly recommend you stop at The Bean coffee roasters grab yourself something delicious to eat and something amazing to wash it down with
