Was in Port Washington for a short weekend and one morning stopped in for a breakfast at the Beacon . It is part of the hotel on the ground floor . It was fairly busy for a breakfast but we were seated immediately no wait . Staff seemed a bit backed up but they did a good job and quickly took our order . Food is good . I wasn’t too hungry so a basic avocado toast with a side of fruit and coffee is all I needed . Tasted good . There is a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant/ hotel which is a plus .

This is a great location in downtown Port Washington. It has nice views of the harbour. The food is fresh, hot, and good portions. The service was always friendly and prompt. There is an outdoor patio and plenty of indoor space. There is a nice bar area if you are looking for a place that is a little less busy than some of the other bar / restaurants in the area.

Had a great breakfast at the Beacon restaurant. We enjoyed the harbor view while eating. We both had coffee, which was nice and strong, and we both ordered the Captain’s breakfast. Hubby added an extra overeasy and sausage to go with his bacon. I just ordered bacon and scrambled eggs. Bacon was cooked perfectly, and the sausage was very tasty. Great portion size. Our server was attentive. The only downside was that we were seated by the door leading to the patio. It was very busy with people going in and out. Our table was definitely too close to it.

The food and service was great. The dill cream sauce on the Salmon was delicious. Ctab cakes were good. Fish fry Fridays are always good with Cod. Our waitress McKenna was very attentive and helpful. Definitely will have to try breakfast and lunch and the patio when it opens.

** updated review: our first time back since they reopened. The dining area had a few open tables , we had a 30 min wait which was fine. Once seated, we gave our simple breakfast order with our beverage order. Our waitress brought our coffee and milk in a timely manner and over the next 40 minutes we never got our food or a return visit from the waitress. There were other tables who were ahead of us still waiting for their food as well. We decided to leave, we let the hostess know our reasons, and walked over to Dockside Deli for a timely and well made breakfast. We will not be back to the Beacon

The food (a standard ample breakfast menu) is always fresh, hot and very tasty, the eating area is small but never overcrowded (at least when we’ve been there), and the staff has always been friendly and attentive. The bar on the other side of the wall serves up the usual including Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas. The view out the windows is the classic harbor town view complete with fisherman and the Lighthouse in the distance.

Best eggs Benedict I’ve had in a long time. Service was great and the restaurant was very clean, don’t see that very often anymore. Added bonus the view of the harbor is stunning.

We were staying in the hotel and we decided to try The Beacon since it was on site and it was raining. What a wonderful turn of events, the food was very good and the staff was wonderful. They were very friendly, didn’t just greet us and take our oder, they spoke to us and made us feel at home. We had the Primerib and the Chicken Marsala, paired with seasonal veggies, salad with home made dressing (Ranch & Blue cheese). A great meal!
