Love what they did with the place. What a sweet open floor plan. Food was good too. Had the NY strip, very tasty, cooked perfect and tender. Girlfriend had the chicken sandwich which was crispy and juicy. Great service, was immediately brought to sit by the window where we had a view. Super bonus, the owner came over and introduced himself. Wish this place the best and we’ll be back soon.

I had a fantastic experience at the Beacon. First of all, the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the Nashville hot chicken sliders and double pork chop! Secondly, the service was attentive and friendly(managers as well!). Lastly, the location on the water, atmosphere and layout is perfect. Check it out, it’s definitely worth a shot !

After seeing and hearing great things and letting the restaurant get staff back in order and trained, we decided to give this place a try. Unfortunately the only thing nice to say is how nice and new the inside looks, they did a beautiful job and looks updated and clean! Otherwise, we feel it felt short and we’re disappointed. The menu is VERY limited with not many options which we new going into it but felt they still had some good things we would like to try and give it a fair shot. After ordering, we were very very excited as we waited for this restaurant to open……I LOVE Buffalo wings and have eaten and tried many ..these were very spicy and not enjoyable ..that is just my preference. When asked how they were, we let the manager know we only had 1 as It was too spicy and we were told they had plenty of water to drink it down. We found as a new place, it wasnt too accomodating but thats ok, we learned. We also tried the pulled pork sliders which were just ok as well. When wanting to try the grilled chicken skewers, we were told it wasn’t being served due to presentation and after now seeing reviews it seems it was a dish not cooked properly so I had a cesar salad which was ok. The Beacon burger sounds amazing …two patties, bacon and onion jam, smoked gouda, wholegrain mustard..unfortunately it was more of a glamorized white castle burger and have had bigger burgers at a drive thru. The food also all came out within minutes of the appetizers and was not timed properly. I had high hopes for this place and to spend 100$ , we weren’t happy. They also did not have some well known / seasonal beers on tap which for a place with a full bar feel they slightly lacked. Also it is Valet but has plenty of parking… all in all if they expand the menu with more options we may give them another chance and try a different wing. I’m happy for everyone who had a great experience but it is a restaurant I personally wouldn’t run to.

A beacon it is! So thankful for a place like this on the lake. Great cocktails, friendly staff, and excellent food. It is so refreshing to go somewhere and get to speak to the owner and hear his excitement about being a part of the community. The dedicated fryer for gluten free fries is a game changer for someone who never gets to have fries when dining out! Go for the food and drinks and stay for the friendly atmosphere!

Wow, what a surprise. My wife and I thought we were going to Pavinci’s on Lake Hopatcong. Much to our surprise, The Beacon has replaced it. Loved the new place! The entire restaurant, and deck have been updated. The Deck has a Bar and counter seating overlooking the lake. The restrooms are very different from what we’re used to. They are gender neutral, with individual stalls, very clean and private. The food was excellent, had the Shepards Pie, and pretzel bites. Can’t wait to try it again!

Honestly this place is great . My girlfriend and I live 4 min away so decided to try it and it exceeded our expectations . I don’t get the bad reviews . The food was really good (get the Brussels sprouts!) and the service was great. My girlfriend loved her gin and tonic as well. Definitely give this place a shot we will be back many times even for just a drink or two.

I came here yesterday with my parents, i had the beacon burger. It was pretty great, the food was pretty expensive but the food wasn’t bad (so i heard, i don’t know the exact price range). The inside wasn’t really decorated, but the place is new so maybe that will change.

While the place is still being built (outside area hasn’t been completed), this place is beautiful and the food is perfect if you’re looking elevated bar food and GREAT drink options. Who has Angry Erik’s on tap?! Loved it! I’ll be back and very happy this is right down the street from me!
