All of the 1 Star ⭐️ reviews are laughable. Cmon folks, this is a food spot on the beach… relax a little! Food is decent and service is good. Prices are very fair considering you’re steps away from the beautiful beach. If you want a cloth napkin, go somewhere else… or better yet – go back to the city.

The food is a mixed bag, the chicken burger is very good, the lobster roll claims to be the best in the Hamptons but is anything but. The bread roll was dry and over toasted and the lobster totally lacking in flavor. The drinks are not too bad but as you woukd expect from a beach cafe everything is on the expensive side. Nevertheless a good spot for a bite to eat whilst at the beach.

Susan and Amanda at the Beach Hut on Main gave me and my family a 5-star experience for my mom’s 60th birthday. I can not express enough my gratitude for how special they were able to make this celebration for us. The food was some of the best we’ve had in East Hampton, and the decor and attention to detail was absolutely stunning. Renting out the deck on the beach hut has to be one of the Hampton’s best kept secrets. Where else can you get a private, 5 course meal overlooking the ocean on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I highly recommend hosting your next event with them, it will be a once inna lifetime experience for sure!

Main Beach in EAST HAMPTON is one our most favorite places! So when it was time to plan a surprise birthday party for my husband, The Beach Hut was my only choice! We were not disappointed! Everything was perfect!!! The Beach Hut will always be a favorite!!!!!

Best place to eat and enjoy the best view in town! I go there for the avocado toast. It’s the best I ever had. And for lunch I have the fried fish tacos. Wonderful! Will be sorry to see it close for the season soon.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner & welcome drinks at Main Beach Hut in September 2023 and it was absolutely spectacular. Amanda & Susan were so helpful with planning the event the months leading up and were amazing to work with. The event itself was seamless – the food was incredible, the venue and vibe was just so unique and our guests were so impressed with every component of it. The space is so different from many other options and has a true, East Hampton beachy feel. It’s an amazing venue with a great team that made our weekend so special!

This place has really upped its game since being taken over by the new owner a few years ago. I used to bring food to the beach, but now it’s not necessary since the hut is there. The bagels and hot pastries are a must for the morning. Friendly place with happy people.

Went here recently and ordered a regular beer — it honestly tasted off, like it had been sitting for a while. What really crossed the line was that they offered the same beer to my younger cousin, who isn’t even 21. That’s a serious issue and completely irresponsible.

Also, the “large fries” were just a regular portion. Nothing about this place felt worth the price or the experience. Definitely won’t be coming back.

If I could give zero stars, I would. They tried to sell us an Aperol Spritz (I even explained to them how to make it), and then they came to the table with something that looked like a mix of sparkling water and something pink? After I complained, they started laughing and said they gave us something *similar*. Like, hello? You can’t sell me one thing and then serve something “similar.”

After all that, the woman rudely brought us a glass of white wine as a replacement—the worst wine I’ve ever tasted in my life—which also had a long black hair in it. We returned the wine, and they ended up laughing in our faces.

This isn’t even a hard job. At the very least, put a smile on your face and make a little effort.

We had a very HORRIBLE. We were served what was supposed to be an Aperol Spritz, but after raising our concerns three times—due to the drink tasting like soda or sparkling water with just a hint of red coloring—we were finally told that the establishment does not have a license to serve Aperol Spritz.

They replaced the drink with a PLASTIC cup of wine, but to our shock, it was served with a long black hair in it. What made the situation even more unacceptable was the response: instead of an apology, the older woman, blonde with a pony tail, on staff and the very young team seemed to find the situation amusing and were laughing about it.

This was, without a doubt, one of the worst hospitality experiences we’ve encountered. A serious lack of professionalism and care.
