We drove from Burlington to get the famous perch and it was very disappointing. It was old and over cooked. It was the same with the pickerel. Fries were good. Beer was good and fresh. Our waitress was really good but I won’t go back there again. I know it’s fall and fishing has stopped so that could be the reason why the fish is old.

The New Year’s Eve menu said, rather casually:
“A Char-Grilled 10 oz. Rib Eye with Jumbo Black Tiger Shrimp.”
That was it. No spoilers. No warnings.
What arrived was a full blown culinary experience in taste, tenderness, and presentation !! A beautifully charred rib eye so tender it practically waved the white flag at the steak knife, crowned with jumbo black tiger shrimp that clearly knew they were dressed for a night out. A fire kissed lemon perched on top like it belonged there all along, adding just the right zing.
Fluffy clouds of comfort mashed potatoes…the kind that make you pause and quietly nod in approval. The vegetables were bright, fresh, and perfectly cooked, not just “on the plate for show,” but actually invited to the party. Even the rosemary stood tall, doing its aromatic thing like it had something important to say. Who doesn’t absolutely love a fresh sprig of savoury accompaniment !!
The description may have been brief, but the flavours spoke fluently.
I’m glad I took the bait ..because in Port Dover, when the food bites back like this, you happily let it.

Incredible establishment with a gorgeous view of the lake, beach and even palm trees. The tacos are super well presented and massive too, so 3 tacos will definitely fill up the average person. It could use a bit of a tangy sweet sauce, but the acidity is spot on.
Service is great, atmosphere is excellent. Must visit in the area.

Food was traditional pub fare, always nice to have a delicious perch dinner by the water. Service was excellent at this restaurant. Waiters and waitresses all appear to be quite young, and we’re all fantastic. One jumping up twice to greet my mother with her walker at a ledge to help her. The four piece battered perch dinner was really nice, and not over battered like many restaurants do. They are small pieces, but my husband and I shared that along with the large Caesar and it was just the right amount of food.

Our waitress #112, I’m sorry , we can’t remember her name, was amazing! Our dishes were the best we have had (shrimp linguine and rib eye) plus the chocolate cake really nailed it for us. Please give the Chef our compliments and ditto to your bar tender tonight. We shall return soon!

Fine dining at its finest. Decided a week in advance the wife deserved a good treat. Called The Beach House staff and made reservations for the Sunday at 2 pm aiming for a lunch style meal.
Service as always was top notch. Our drinks And appetizers were all made available within the first 10 minutes of being at the table. Next, we had a wonderful spread of all our appetizers starting with the escargot and then next fold up by the bruschetta bread which was incredibly delicious.
What I find amazing about the beach house is the consistency, never wavers and all the food that is prepared is exactly identical to every visit we’ve ever had.
They have excellent and impeccable service and most importantly the food is served both hot and fresh right to your table with drink pairings of your choice. I have to say for a small little restaurant tucked away on the beach. It has some excellent fine dining qualities.

We come here quite a bit. Food is always good! Everyone knows that! (one critique is the coleslaw, needs a bit more mayo in my opinion), however their Dirty Santa?!!! Yummy! And look at this presentation! Beautiful! Would keep Santa on his toes for his trip around the globe!
