But our server Cleo was absolutely the best part!! She was so kind, attentive, and always made sure we were happy. So grateful to her for giving us recommendations for things to check out in the area as well!
The clam chowder soup (Soup of the Day) was creamy and flavorful, a perfect way to start the meal.
The atmosphere was relaxed, very fitting for a resort, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!
We only had breakfast and drinks here, but everything on the menu looked really good.
The decor has a fish tank at the entrance, small wooded outrigger boat on the ceiling, carved stone piece and carved turtle artwork on a 3D waved wall, behind the bar.
They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a full bar, that also services the pool areas.
Our server Sharmie, was friendly and attentive.
The first evening, my husband ordered the Hawaiian bbq sauced ribs dinner, he substituted the sides, for a Cesar salad, healthy option, to be offset by a big swell Maui IPA beer.
I started with a lava flow pina colada w/strawberry puree
I ordered the pacific grill, tender white fish, shrimp n soft scallops, floating in a creamy white wine sauce reduction, accompanied by mashed potatoes and steamed mixed vegetables.
On our second visit, we enjoyed the Thursday evening prime rib special.
Our second server Pam, was also friendly, attentive n conversational, as she was from our California hometown, of Venice, Santa Monica areas.
My husband n I both got the 9oz prime rib, which as more than enough. I must say, we do a lot of prime rib specials on the mainland, by far this was best we’ve ever had. Very tender, well cooked n minimal fat.
My husband again, opted to swap his sides for a salad, as I stayed w/the mashed potatoes and steamed mixed vegetables.
We also had the calamari strips appetizer.
He enjoyed his Maui IPA n I had the iced tea, which tasted freshly brewed, did not have that chemical bottled taste.
The food is delicious and only out done my the beautiful entertainment, of Jeffrey playing island favorites, also singing happy birthday and happy anniversary, on his wonderful guitar and his entertainment partner Kealani.
The beautiful Kealani, wore a long Hawaiian flower dress, accented by a massive garland of numerous strands of fresh water pearls, a large flower and greenery head piece, looking like a Hawaiian Queen. Her Hula dancing storytelling was fabulous.
Their entertainment greatly enhanced our dining experience and made it a magical evening, overlooking the ocean and island views, with the ocean waves gently crashing in the background.
I highly recommend this dining experience.
5 out of 5 stars.
Happy hour food and drinks are the best options for this location. Also, breakfast is way better than dinner.
We were disappointed with dinner as it was underwhelming and not very good.
We did like the croissant breakfast sandwich and fruit platter. The chicken wings, onion rings, calamari, etc. are delicious and quite reasonable for happy hour!
I loved this restaurant! All the staff were very friendly, especially after they saw us keep returning after a couple days. Every meal I had was delicious, their bar tenders make strong drinks (I like that!), and their prices are right in the neighborhood of what everyone is charging in the area. It’s an open-air restaurant, so there were breezes gently blowing through all the time, and the view is nothing but the ocean beyond the pool area. We even watched whales breaching out of the water one morning (in the ocean, not the pool).
I recommend the Hawaiian pork eggs benedict and mimosas for breakfast!
