(WE DO NOT ACCEPT PHONE ORDERS) We decided to set up THE BBQ SOCIETY as we are both huge lovers of all things BBQ and are both incredibly passionate about food- eating it! And cooking it! We run our business from our small home kitchen on the outskirts of Gloucester- with high hopes to take it far. By developing a small range of BBQ sauces and creating a small menu of backgarden bbq food from hotdogs to brisket, available on JUST EAT- we know this is only the beginning for us and we’ve got lots of exciting things to come.

One of the best food spots in Gloucester
The BBQ Society consistently delivers high quality, well cooked food with real care put into every dish.
Some of my favourites are the Midnight Mac and Cheese which is rich and comforting with crisp, well seasoned chicken tenders, and the Nashville Hot Chicken with just the right level of heat. The buttermilk chicken strips are always perfectly cooked and never dry.
The chilli cheese fries are excellent. They come topped with smoked beef chilli, mature cheddar, American mustard, jalapeños and crispy onions. The flavours work so well together and the portion is generous enough to share or have on its own.
The dragon salt onion rings are light, crunchy and full of flavour. Everything I’ve tried has been consistently good and the portion sizes are generous.
Service is reliable, the food is always hot, and I’ve had nothing but great experiences across multiple orders. A brilliant independent business!

The food is so so good, cannot recommend enough. Only ordered for delivery but it was still warm and juicy, the burger and chilli fries as well as the mac and cheese were so good, we had the blue and pulled pork burgers and they were so good. Double patties recommended just to fill out the buns.

Gorgeous food. Pork belly bites are the best thing ever! Hot dog and milkshake incredible and the Cajun fries were so crispy and the seasoning was insane! Lovely service from the chap who made us feel very welcome and we will be back as he predicted! Worth the drive 😀

Walked from the center specifically to eat here, and was not disappointed. I had the meat combo with pulled pork and smoked sausage with Mac n cheese and slaw. The portions were huge and overall it was a fantastic meal. Enough blue cheese sauce to drown it all too on the side.

Ordered food in delivery from BBQ society and it was amazing. Gloucester Blue was not only delicious but exploded with flavour. Dragon fries was just amazing and the cornbread was moist and not dry like most others. First time in Gloucester and I have found my go to place already. Would definitely be ordering again when in Gloucester again.

Just popped in with the lady for the first time… Literally the best burger of my life. I had double patty, extra pulled pork, bacon and cheese with pickles.

No real plan
Im a coeliac and usually hesitant/unable to try new places. The BBQ Society went above and beyond to ensure my meal was as prepared safely and adapted to my needs where they were able to, even though it was a busy Saturday night. My meal was delicious and i will 100% be ordering from them again in the future. Any other coeliacs out there…this place is well worth the try!

My previous review was 5/5 because 4 months ago they delivered their full menu. To be clear they are probably still 5/5 for collection.
However visiting Gloucester again I was gutted to see the delivery menu is yet another burger place and having now eaten the burger it was not great. Really gutted as not everyone drives but I get they have had issues with delivery partners. Oh well, at least the first meal was good.

Extremely disappointed. Ordered a load of food for a staff lunch, booked it for 1.15pm and it arrived at 2pm, completely missing the window. Also when it did get here, it was bordering on cold, maybe because a load of deliveries had done before-hand. Totally unacceptable. When i am spending well over £100 on food for the team, i would expect it to be warm. Maybe next time give McDonalds a shout see if they can do better.
