Ordered some BBQ to go. We ordered a Pulled Chicken Sandwich, Brisket and for sides Cole Slaw and Salt Potatoes. Brisket, Potatoes and Cole Slaw were perfect. Chicken was a bit dry but extra sauce did the trick. All employees were super nice and very attentive. Recommended.

20250519 The owner greeted me the second I walked in. He was very nice. Bring cash!! To avoid paying credit card fee. I got the combo with chicken and brisket, and cold slaw and beans. The cold slaw was good, but highly recommend the baked beans!! The chicken and brisket were generous portion, but they are on the dryer side, but not dry. I wish they were more moist, juicy. Maybe this is a different style of bbq? The brisket was very lean. I tried all 4 sauces, and couldn’t decide which I like best. Each is unique. The cornbread was ok, kind of dry to my liking. Their prices are reasonable. My finicky pup liked the brisket, but not the chicken. My other pup is not interested which is what I expected because she only likes a few things. Recommend giving it a try.

We got the sampler platter with macaroni salad, salt potatoes, chicken wing dip, and mac n cheese.The chicken was amazing. Extremely tender pulled pork that melts in your mouth. Sides were ok. Not big on the mac n cheese. Tasted like peppery scalloped potatoes to me. Overall good meal. Could use some music to make it or more inviting atmosphere. Would visit again.

Food was great. I had ribs and the wife had the brisket. Coleslaw and Mac salad were as expected. In time I hope they can dress the place up a bit. But don’t judge this book by its cover, it’s definitely worth the stop.

Got the garbage plate with meatsauce, Mac salad, home fries and cheese with bacon! Super good. Extremely huge portion. Pulled pork sando my buddy got was great. Ribs were awesome and the sauce was smooth good flavored BBQ. Meat fell right off the bone.

We stayed in Penn Yan 2 years ago and had brisket here twice and it was fantastic. My wife and I have been trying brisket at other places while we travel and we have not found anything that comes close to this place. Brisket was moist, tender, and full of flavor. (Other places: burnt outside, dry, boring) Next time we are driving through New York, my wife wants this to be a stop even if we have to drive extra hours to get here.
