I am here in town for a while and this place was recommended to me! Wowwwwww!!! The food is absolutely amazing!! The gumbo is delicious along with the red beans and rice-truly authentic! The atmosphere feels like you are right at home in your living room-it is the local spot! And the Thursday night bingo is a BLAST!!! If you are looking to just get out you must come! You will not be disappointed! The girls behind the bar are the best and they treat you like family! Do not miss out if you are visiting Jackson! 🙂

We were skeptical at first. A bar in the middle of nowhere. Don’t let that fool you! We had smokehouse tatties for an appet, and they were so amazing! My husband had Cajun seafood alfredo, and garlic bread. He loved it. I tasted it. Mommy I had pulled pork plate with lime beans /andoulli sausage, fried corn, and garlic toast.Everything was delicious, right down to the garlic toast. We would definitely come back. Quiet calm, country folks having a beer atmosphere. Nothing rowdy, no blaring music just good food, good service, and a lovely supper. Thank you!

We have eaten here in the past and it was delicious, so we decided to bring family from out of town to show them what it’s all about. They were not disappointed! We had the Smokehouse Tatties to start, then on the the BBQ platter, Coconut Shrimp, and Gumbo. So much flavor and the portions are ridiculously large! If you’re in Cape Girardeau or the surrounding area, it’s definitely worth the drive to Pocahontas. Google Maps will sometimes take you in the wrong direction. It’s worth searching out this place. The Pilot House, Port Cape, and all the other BBQ places in Cape are definitely delicious, but this place has a different take on BBQ and other dishes. They also have an outdoor pavilion and live music weekly. We’ll definitely be back!

Love! The waitress was so sweet! Our food was amazing! The loaded tatties were so good! The pork steak fell apart with just a fork! The blackened chicken was perfectly cooked to taste! We will definitely be back and recommend!!

We took a Saturday ride on the bike to this destination restaurant. We questioned if we were really going to find it down the back road we were on. And Aye-YEEEEE what a diamond in the rough!! You absolutely must order the seafood nachos. They are a meal in themselves. I had the red beans and rice….c’est bon!!! Hubby had the coconut shrimp, also very good, and the dipping sauce was amazing. They have an outdoor stage that we hope to make it back to for live music. This is a great place!!

Had a party of 7 with us today and it was all our first time ever at this restaurant and I must say we will all definitely be back our waitress winter was absolutely fantastic so sweet and awesome customer service food was outstanding and they give you big portions that’s hard to find these days hard to find restaurants anymore that hit all your expectations and this place did just that!! It is a bit off the beaten path but the food and the restaurant atmosphere is AMAZING and worth the trip! This is how I mentally pictured a Cajun restaurant. The food was very tasty and serving sizes were very generous.
The service was great and Misty was our waitress taking care of us and consulted us on the menu (I am a visitor from Germany and not so familiar with Cajun menu choices).
